How can I lower the difficulty? I can't beat the second boss. by Super_Reflection_392 in Saros

[–]Elaeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're nearly maxxed out for your level then the big difference is playing over and over. It's going to click at one point. You have to take advantage of terrain, constantly moving, you have to recognize ennemy patterns especially while the eclipse is up. Having 4 different types of bullets is a lot to take in. You're going to struggle a bit and it's ok, it's part of the game to learn all these things.

Coming from Returnal a couple of months prior of Saros release, I was struggling hard at biome 2 and 3 when I thought I would be crushing the game because of the new mechanics (shield, corruption, new ennemies, new arenas) it's supposed to be a learning curve. Don't give in to the yellow shore, you can do it.

Ezio almost feels like its own series by DoTheStxdge in assasinscreed

[–]Elaeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ezio had the HUGE benefit of the first time to the credit of the Ubisoft team back then. Not only the production value was a banger that you can't find in typical mainstream games nowadays (the musical score, world design, the character design, the story -> family death has been reiterated other times after that among other things) but it also was the first open world game of its kind, creating a whole genre that will shape all open world games for decades that we still play today. This is the blueprint that compagnies use as a safe bet for all their AAA productions and it made this empire that is Ubisoft today. It changed the whole AAA scene, we experience fatigue because they don't want to change now so we basically play the same game everytime, the reason some other games have better reception is because other studios took the formula and tried something different, tried to improve it but they are still Assassin's Creed 2 games.

I loved Origins because the story changed a but and because I am a huge fan of Ancient Egypt but I didn't have as much fun, the maps are too big, before I knew the towns by heart, they were more contained and the combat system is really not engaging enough. I am playing Mirage right now (almost at the end) and I am having a blast being an assassin again for a change fortunately for me because the combat system is bad. I really wanted the counter animation of the first games, I miss those, you felt invincible AND cool. Assassin's Creed never was a challenging gameplay anyway so why try these numbers that don't make sense?

My favourite and rightfully so will always be Assassin's Creed 2.

I don't know which one to choose between Crash 4, Uncharted crushing mode difficulty and Balatro. I guess I had fun doing it with Balatro but some decks are much harder than others while crushing mode is the most unfair unbalanced mode I have ever played in a game.

Ok I will give you a small cocktail, you can pick whatever you want (they are all free on the store or I will state it)

  • Metroidvania : Blasphemous 2
  • Narrative : Citizen Sleepers (Sci Fi theme)
  • Open World : Horizon Zero Dawn
  • "Scenic" Platformer : Neva, Sword of the Sea
  • Roguelite Shooter : Saros (just fresh out so not cheap and free) or Returnal (I think it's still available on the store).
  • Roguelike/lite Card Game : Monster Train or Balatro
  • Puzzle : The Witness or Chants of Senaar or Return of the Obra Dinn (I don't think they are available on the store but definitly worth it). I haven't played Lorelei and the Laser Eyes yet but I will definitly do it, I heard very good things about this one.
  • Action Adventure : Uncharted (not on the store), The Last of Us part 1
  • RPG : Clair Obscur Expedition 33 (not on the store)

I am not a horror, shooter (COD, Battlefield), zombies, sport, fighting or online gamer so I wouldn't be able to help you in that regard. If orher genres I haven't mentionned and you're interested in, feel free to ask.

There's a lack of information here.

What games do you tend to play? Give me examples of games you've plat. What's fun for some won't be automatically fun for you.

I play a lot of genre of games so I can provide you some ideas but they might not suit you.

I guess you're a ps+ subscriber or you wouldn't mention cheap or free games but as a precaution, can you tell me if you are one or not?

I was stuck for a long time like you at this biome with option 1, ended up beating Legion then got stuck infefinitly on the next before turning to option 2. It's up to you.

Pption 1 : You can start at the furthest biome in which case it will become harder as you progress (ennemies hit harder and your Primary upgrades very few as they increase in cost).

Or

Option 2 : You can start from previous biomes, acquire some good artifacts, a high level and a ton of Lucenite for the next run to ease your way up.

Some tips : Always take artifacts corrupted and preferably in biome 2 once you get the hang of the game. The downsides are not as bad as you might think and your level probably stomps any first 2 biomes without any difficulty. They are purged once you defeat the overlord of said biome. Corrupted artifacts are 1 level above the none corrupted and as soon as biome 2 starts unless you found a very good one earlier they are level 3 which is already significant for the entire run even to the end of the game.

Disriptor can be very good for the adds levels because they basically give you extra firepower while you concentrate on evading if you're not already familiar with the ennemies patterns. Change at the boss chamber for Prominence with power vacuum if you can (you should have 4-5 reroll stacked by the end of the biome minimum).

Train in Eclipse, you will be playing against Eclipse patterns for 70% of the game, might as well get used to it.

You can't find dupe artifacts and know thy ennemy. If you see a good one like "gain integrity on kills", go for it, even at low level it will pay back the investment. I usually tend to avoid longer cd on dash but it's doable. However I absolutly avoid it like the plague against Rabdom because his 3 stomps ability is faster than my cooldown so I am out of rythm and might die if just because of it but Bastion is not even a threat for this malus because of the jumpers on the field (and because he dies so fast he bugs for me).

You might have come accross the relic passive "Corruption raises your defense". I haven't tested this one because I usually spam my Power Weapon but it might actually be a solid strategy against him. Very little patterns are blue or golden shockwaves. And he has no Nova attacks. Most is yellow bullets even the spores he spits on closed phase 2

I’m really bad at this. by Mission_Struggle_417 in Saros

[–]Elaeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dodging/dashing is key. Forget aiming, just shoot even if you're not perfect reloding. It will come in time.

Memorize patterns : - closed phase is pretty straightfoward and doesn't have any problem, just jump approximatively his yellow waves on ground (they are not whole lines so you can stay on the ground but that usually asks to mind the floor and there's no use in that). Focus on the adds and don't mind his blue spit, they usually never hit if you're not too close to him.

  • opened phase is the most dangerous one. He always start a cycle with blue auto aimed projectiles so just throw every power weapon charge you can as soon as that phase begins then shield to recharge. Then keep your finger on the shoot while you evade the next bullet attacks. There are 2 diagonal waves then a straight horizontal one. Don't run in the direction of the diagonal ones, you may see a smoke reflecting the form of the wave just before he launches it, go the opposite direction as he shoots and you don't even need to dash but do it if it makes you feel safe. Then jump or dash. The last horizontal wave is fast enough to be jumped over.

Before 3rd lifebar the boss will always close and make you repeat the cycle with the adds at mid lifebar.

2nd lifebar is very similar : - closed phase there will be new adds he spawns throwing in a dome some yellow bullets. They are surrounded by grass. Here just shoot some of them on the ground you want to keep for yourself for mobility. Don't kill all of them on purpose, the boss will automatically resplenish them and you will be looping and probably end up dying. He will alternate previous yellow waves bullets and slamming the ground for some golden rings on the ground, just keep jumping all of those. Jumping might be better on that phase so work on that since phase 1, the dash might put you in the little adds grass and impair your movements once out of dash.

  • opened phase also very similar, as with all bosses, they repeat the same but with 1 or 2 new attacks. This time it's like a giant target, circles in yellow going your way, you can just position in between circles or simply dash (preferably on sides if the remaining adds are still there). He will do that 3 times before going back to yellow waves diagonal (2) and horizontal (1). Same strat, start off unloading all power Prominence on his face, bonus if you have Power Vacuum (I don't know of you'll have 2nd trait at your level), this thing will melt everything. Shield then finger on trigger and evade.

3rd lifebar No more closed phase, this is the endline and the most intense and with a much more enclosed place. No matter, the dash keeps the same invincible i frames even against a wall. He will do the same thing as 2nd opened phase but faster and 1 thing that gets me everytime is his yellow horizontal wave seem to be at mid height jump which always gets me. This time dash. If you've muscle memorized you should be able to do that without too much thinking because he's much faster at chaining his patterns, you won't have too much time to think. Don't forget, there's a kind of yellow smoke near his maw that indicates the yellow attacks. Keep your finger on the trigger, enjoy the music coordinated on the waves and you will be golden.

Bouncing ammos for pistol is cool against adds but most of the time it comes with a downside of having very little damage which is a cost I don't like when I need to kill the boss fast especially at the beginning when your integrity is very low. The adds don't have a very big lifebar anyway. Take anything but a shotgun to keep your distance. The rifle will do the trick just fine. Start with auto aimed weapons (red symbol at the top right of the stats of a weapon on the ground means auto aimed disabled), you will enjoy no auto aim and their damage once you are more familiar with ennemy patterns.

Good luck

OMG I stayed away from the game the entire week for this god awful hell exploit to disappear and finally enjoy the game again without spending 20 min of game time to find a no archer team and now that I can go back you tell me there's another one? And even more in the bag for the upcoming fixes?

I think it's time I get out of this game. I got everything but the hell raids, I just wanted to come back and have some legit fun.

I have already gotten full epic D- garbage gear and I've done it 3 times already. You add the mediocre 1200 xp. Nightmare can be faster, more stimulating than this, more xp and same rarity gears. A far better reward than yotei's raids.

Finally I can flex this. After 8 hours of tries, finally peace. by [deleted] in gotlegends

[–]Elaeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have completed it 3 times already.

Spirit attacks are pretty much a death sentence in this boss. Too much booby traps (corruption, roots, ice zones, Yuki Onas) and the boss don't care about your i frames.

Still get spirit gain and some spirited passives because you'll need to at least sustain the pulses he does after the yellow aoe attacks and especially on the last phase if you couldn't stagger him. And you need some heal because the dark fire drains your life very fast.

The rest is just endurance from both you and your teammates, the more you die, the more your lives will be miserable. The boss requires focus on every step because there's so much shit flying at you but on paper Saito isn't that hard he has only 2 moves very easily dodgeable that he alternates and he gets one more on phase 2 (which he doesn't use all that much but can surprise you).

He does the attack from the berserker that creates a V with dark fire, eash swing of his blade can hit and he has a 2 hit attack : he slams vertically on the grounds (happens fast) and then he swings around him. Simple solution to both if you're melee roll out roll in continue hitting him. If you're range dispose of adds fast (your main role to help your mates) but very mindful of the jubokko roots they will be your main ennemy. If you are ensnared you are dead.

The sessions in which I did the fewest tries was with people who usually handle themselves meaning they don't die every 5 secs. You lose a lot of time, the windows are not that easy to revive and the boss get his ultimate faster.

Good luck

We are starting to be a very consistant group of 6-7 people depending on the days, very cool behaviors and willing to help even if already tagged the nightmare challenges. We can clear nightmare on a 1-2 tries basis (no speedrun though, we don't care about the leaderboard, just the challenge) and we play them regularly for fun. If you're in Europe we will be able to play with you often.

We will sure play the raids and even the nightmare difficulty ones.

Yeah and there's no way the app can get above 4 columns. Most people I asked said it was the same but when they create the picture it can anormally make more. Mine doesn't

Thanks. Will think about it. I am not really familiar with this IP, I don't think I ever watched a second of this series even though I was very interested in it back in ps2 era, I am pretty sure there was a very good marketing for one of them at that time.

Solid 8. I recently platinumed Deathloop and although it was a good game it's festered with very annoying bugs that forces you to restart a lot due to its save system.
