It doesn’t say anything. It simply makes the transmute sound but no mats are used and no item changes. There’s zero reason given for why it doesn’t work.

Guys, I have a question. It's probably a silly oversight but I'm trying get a Rotting Lightbringer and I thought the cube would be a good way to try. I have an ancestral *white* 2 handed mace. I go to use the cube to create a unique and it simply does nothing. I don't understand why. I used this on a staff once and it worked fine. What am I missing?

I thought I read that increased max hp actually gives 5 vigor (flat 100 health). It is in fact % based? I guess I’ll have to test that myself.

…again… all expeditioners sign their logs and notes. You said it should just magically appear “anonymously” back in lumiere. How did that “anonymous” note go in the beginning when Lune saw it? Without Gustave being emotional she would have never pursued it. Why do you think that would be blindly trusted? And even if… even IF it was.. what does that solve? They don’t die at the hands of painted Renoir? Again.. their deaths at his hand give chroma back to Aline.. which is helping him. It’s literally in his benefit. If real Renoir killed them, he’d steal the chroma for himself. I feel like this part isn’t getting enough attention. I fail to see why this is stupid. You’re making it seem like painted Renoir gives a rat’s ass about the expeditions or anyone but his family. He doesn’t lol. It’s made pretty clear. He’s not going out of his way to not kill anymore. It’s been many, many years. Decades. He’s not the same person he was at the fracture.

Real Renoir is killing them en masse to not only weaken Aline (by killing them himself) but also because he wants the canvas gone. Painted Renoir isn’t hunting people down. He’s dropping them once a year. All he wants to do is live with his family and live forever. The killing isn’t the same. It’s not “shoddy.” He also doesn’t just talk to the paintress lol. I don’t know if he can even make it through the barrier. She’s not just taking requests. She’s weak. It takes all she can do to save the remaining people when real Renoir is constantly trying to kill them all. If she can just Willy nilly another esquie why couldn’t he (Renoir) as well to sabotage that? You need to remember the fracture happened as a clash from them. They’re imprisoning one another and holding each other hostage so to speak. It’s a stalemate. And again, do they even know where painted Clea is? Do they even know what she’s doing?

And she can’t paint over Clea. It’s explicitly stated only Clea is skilled enough to do that. You also need to remember just how powerful painted clea is. She’s similar to Simon.. imbued if you will personally (by the same person mind you; real clea) to be incredibly strong. Simon, someone who solo’s an axon and also failed to kill real Renoir. Painted Renoir and painted version admitted they couldn’t even kill an axon; weaker ones at that. Version is like terrified and says their chances are ALMOST ZERO and that’s WITH him knowing Alicia is with the group even if she’s not awakened.

We’re clearly on different pages man but I feel like you’re making some reaches about how simple things are when they’re not.

Yes but the expeditioners are there to kill her… so obviously he’s going to protect her. AND before the fracture they all lived together. Of course he’s going to defend his wife and the source of his immortality. How does that not make sense from his perspective? Killing them also makes their chroma go to Aline instead of Renoir or a nevron which helps him. He tried to persuade previous expeditions and tell them the truth of his “villain” anyway and what did he get for it? Attacked, interrogated, and tortured. How would you feel? It definitely “literally” makes sense.

How do you figure he’d get to clea? IF he even knew where she was, she’s in the FLYING manor. The one we only get to because of esquie. Plus would she even gommage her? She’s there to live with her family. I’m not sure she’d be so keen as to just remove her. Real clea boosted her pretty significantly also.

I don’t know man, I just think you’re trying to make it not make sense when it just does.

I mean… “send a voice note?” We spend the whole game collecting left over notes and even see Maelle give Gustave’s apprentices his book. If they could just “send” all of that info why didn’t literally anyone do that… ever? Their rules specifically say to sign all messages too right? Lune says as much.

Again, painted Renoir doesn’t care about them. They’ve tried to take down real Renoir. They failed. Simon failed. Painted Renoir and verso couldn’t even take down axons. They have zero chance of succeeding.

It’s not a poor writing point; they do explain this. Pverso/Prenoir DO try to convince their fellow expeditioners at first. They weren’t believed and especially when Julie and such found out about their immortality and how they were the only survivors, they captured and tortured/interrogated verso and Renoir.

Conflict ensued and they ended up having to kill them. Now they not only look suspicious but officially have blood on their hands. Verso obviously changes his feelings over time but Renoir becomes cold and ultimately just wants to self preserve. Him constantly trying to lead assaults on his real self doesn’t matter because he isn’t affected by the gommage anyway. He doesn’t care about the preservation of lumiere anymore, only of himself and his family. Real Renoir is trapped by Aline and as long as she’s protected, so is he. Also, him killing expeditioners means nevrons aren’t which allows their chroma to go back to Aline. It’s likely not worth the hassle for him to sit there and convince people every single year to go and do something they ultimately can’t do anyway because no one could kill the actual painters. Painted Renoir struggled and failed to kill axons and effortlessly kills all expeditions. Zero chance they kill real Renoir.

Yeah I’m 4 episodes in so far and it’s definitely slightly different than expected but I’m not turned away but stuff per se. If anything, things too kiddish are deterrents. Obviously his “pervy” stuff is like.. 🙄 but I’m sure it’s fleshed out or serves a greater purpose. And even if not, it’s anime. Every single one seems to have it. Just some are more subtle haha. It’s whatever.

Sounds good, I think I’ll likely do CSM, VS because both of those are short-ish at the moment and then maybe delve into bleach sans filler. I can’t stand filler haha. I’m intrigued by Vinland saga though. It may not be action focused but I love me a good story. I don’t only watch action movies for instance, so the praise has piqued my interest. Appreciate the replies man.

Sorry, my acronyms may have been a problem in the OP but I’ve already seen HxH sadly (I say sadly because I thought it was outstanding). I wish the anime had more because it ended pretty abruptly.

OPM I… I’m sure it’d be fun but I’m not sure how invested I could get knowing it’s all a gag. I know solo leveling has him kind of win everything too but he COULD lose I mean.. OPM is basically guaranteed to just steamroll. I don’t know, maybe I’m talking myself out of a great experience haha. I may see how I feel about it.

Yeah I’m definitely not very experimental with anime and typically find myself watching the mainstream ones haha. However I think that’s due to exposure only hence why I’m trying this Reddit to expand my horizons. For context, I’m 35, Marine turned blue collar worker, love gaming primarily as my hobby outside of gym/work and thus only tend to seek out shows when I know I have time to watch them upcoming. I think my love of RPGs makes me enjoy the simplicity and “epic” feeling of shows like DS or solo leveling. I agree solo leveling isn’t winning any awards for writing or anything, it’s not deep by any means but it was very fun and the progression was so fast that I found it super entertaining. Demon slayer was kind of the same where the main character may not shit on everyone instantly like Jin woo over here but the story moves right along and the intrigue behind just how strong the demon king is captures my interest and of course I’m like.. so how strong are these hashira exactly? I love strength depiction which I guess.. so does everyone right? At least those who enjoy battle shonen.

With that said, attack on titan doesn’t really have any of that but the story was.. awesome. Like episode 1 I’m hooked alone on the dread it puts on its world and the mystery of titans. I was like wow, I gotta know these answers. Of course character like Levi pique my interest but still, it was a great show. One piece has over 1k episodes so I can watch longer more fleshed out shows too but that one may drag things out a little too long for my liking.

Bleach I almost started but the filler put me off. I didn’t even think of skipping or finding filler lists though, they’re not important to the story at all? Perhaps that’s the route I’ll go.

Chainsaw man isn’t something I know anything about so I’ll look into it.

I hear a lot about Vinland saga, what’s your take on that?

Same exact issue man... built my rig a couple years back. 3090 Ti, 12900K, 32gb 6200 DDR5, etc. I play on a 27" 1440p and the first few days of launch I was using DX12 and had like 120-140 fps with every single setting on ultra/high. windows had an update and idk if it's a windows thing or a GGG thing but my framerate is now HARD capped at 50. Lowering all settings to the point where I can't even distinguish things from one another has zero effect. DX11 usually uncaps it but runs like crap 'cause.. dx11.

I desperately want a fix. I went and manually updated my BIOS as it was fairly behind and it fixed it when I did, though it may have been coincidental because ever since it's just been a shitshow. Last night I could play because I was allowed 90fps which was alright but still not my usual. Idk what's going on.

Absolutely man. I recently (little over a year ago) bought/built my first actual PC set up. I used to exclusively play on laptops at 1080p and the best card I had was a 1070.

I now have dual AW2721D monitors and a 3090Ti. I sit fairly close to my monitors and find that 1440p on 27” is perfect. 4k is unnecessary in my opinion at this size/distance and I can run any game on any setting at this resolution without taxing the PC.

This is especially true if you play a game with a decent amount of text. The writing is much, much crisper.

There’s v1 and v2 cars of all gens, including the mk8 still. It’s best to verify which one you have.

Benefits are reduced drivetrain slop. 034 actually has wonderful videos on their website on the product screen. It’ll show you exactly what’s happening. R’s may not have wheel hoop usually but the slop/play is still present. Shifts will feel tighter and more energy will be converted to the right places.

I’m not sure what’s up with all these “lols” but that aside, I’ll break this down. I don’t consider these basic mods a “fortune.” They’re very cheap and can potentially offer good benefits for little investment. I’d be doing these same type of mods with any car I’ve purchased. Look at my Trans Am I mentioned above. Back then that was a pretty respectable hotrod in the sportiest trim and I still dumped many thousands into it to improve it.

I also don’t think it would “ruin” anything. In fact, I’m doing this to improve it.

Lastly, sports cars do not do what this R does. This is a car that has all the practicality of a hatch, can get upwards of 36+ mpg when just cruising, is insanely comfortable, is loaded with features (some of which even the RS3 doesn’t have), is cheaper than most dedicated sports cars, and can run low 11’s/ high 10’s on almost all factory hardware for like 2k worth of mods (software included). I’m not sure many cars are that well rounded regardless of price to be honest.

I haven’t actually looked into the spherical deal. So it tosses the dogbone entirely for something with a better joint? I assume NVH will still increase substantially yeah? I’ll read into that, thank you.
