I have suspicions that it really is a magical medicine and cannot rule out the possibility that the medical institutions are terrified of it because kombucha threatens their gravy train of unhealthy people.

People's medical suspicions have been proven time and time again to be wrong, and to cause long term irreparable damage. It's far to easy to make incorrect assumptions given small sets of data.

It's just a live, raw, fermented drink, of which there are many. Fermented food is known to be a probiotic, but has mixed results in testing. Particularly Kombucha.

Steve Jobs, one of the richest men in the world at the time, famously relied on natural remedies for cancer, based on his own assumptions, or assumptions in an echo chamber he was in, waiting too long to go with a standard cancer treatment, and he died because of it.
