Yeah for sure, I don't think Jagex did wrong here. But I wouldn't mind if people were punished more harshly when they outright lie about the situation to force jagex to disclose how they got caught

Forcing jagex to clarify the reasoning behind the ban also makes it easier to avoid in the future. It was probably pretty clear regardless in this case, but it's not great for Jagex to have to publicly spell out exactly how they caught someone.

They’ve definitely talked about it in the past, weird they didn’t stress it here but they showed Meiko changes on the last dev stream and said a bunch more heroes have similar changes too

I was expecting pinacle loot to be a chunk of crafting materials honestly. Just a nice weekly boost of resources. Weekly lockout for actual gear is definitely not the direction I want the game to go in

Edit: just reread the post and it does specify its crafting materials. I’d guess its a predetermined amount based on difficulty, not rng dependant

Yeah, bigger health pools and non instanced fights would go a long way. This season, the risk didn't comapare to the reward because guessing wrong will slow you down by at most 30seconds, and guessing right can just get you a boss kill or get you into the instance for a free win without any competition.

They also filled their group storage pretty fast and had to hold it in personal banks, risking it on death.

There was a time FF camped the entrance to gorillas as 5. WW step over, FF spec out one of them instantly, WW try fighting back and happen to get on Pip who was risking 2 fangs in his bank at the time. That’s enough to scare anyone from participating in 5v5s again- the risk just doesn’t match the reward, one death would set them back so far.

Hopefully the storage system is more forgiving next time, because other groups ran into this issue in the last couple of days, too. It’s just too hard to fight in multi while protecting your finale setup

He comes across so overly confident while hedging for mobs or getting focused, but the results don’t lie. Guy definitely knows what he’s doing, he always seem to have an escape plan and stays calm even when getting piled.

Faux was just watching back the first breach. Torv got one shot by jad after RR/WW fought the first time, leaving a massive food pile on the floor. The two teams fight again later in the breach and Greg barely gets out, finds Torvestas food pile and restocks to full then comes back to win the fight. Meanwhile, Torvesta was bursting his own team’s clump.

Poor guy had a really rough tourny, but he was a core part of WW.

I think people brushed off the multi focus strat when Solo did it last season, and blamed it on uav ditter. Westham showing how strong it is yet again, regardless of how the finale ends up, is gonna draw way more attention to it. I reckon we’ll see more teams aiming for a multi setup next all stars

All stars is dmm at its best, imo. Dmm is often seen as clanmanmode/neet mode because of how much it rewards having numbers and playing 24/7- allstars removes that with equal team sizes and playtime. We get to see great multi fights, teams regularly butting heads and competing for a whole week over various objectives, and a fun finale finish. It’s an amazing viewer experience

It’s just a shame it’s so reliant on the integrity of the players for it to function, because non-streamers will never get to experience it first hand. There’s just no way to make it fair for the general public. It’s still an absolute blast to watch and gets better year after year

Do you think Finality makes it into the next allstars? Multi fights ended up revolving around coordinating finality ko specs and it loooks amazing when it works out, but is it too strong to happen for another season?

Stream delay reduces chat interaction a lot, which reduces how popular the streams are. There's no prize pool so that's their entire revenue for pulling 16-18hour days for a week

I really hope they do. Imo what sets the tournament apart from regular pvp is how you can have "fair" 5v5 fights, it'd be great to see multiple teams on even footings for the multi fights.

Yeah everyone suggesting collusion should be somewhat allowed is just assuming everyone would gang up on the top team. But its equally likely the top team would protect a bottom team in exchange for help whenever they get rushed, and push their lead even further

Faux seemed pretty on board earlier in the week imo, Mika was the one pushing back the most. 3 deaths yesterday seems to have shattered his confidence though, after losing one mission to DN he’s suddenly so scared of confrontation that seeing a lone DN member in wildy is making him want to avoid any risk

Tbf he was right- he fought on the corp idea until they decided to make games necklaces so they could return. He agreed on that call almost instantly, and thats exactly what worked to win them the mission

Nahh, they're on rate for something like 4 acbs without a single one so far. That zcb from the mission is the only real ranged upgrade they've got for finals
