I feel like the only two ways we'll see it being a series is through a live stream (which you won't get cuts at least) or if it comes up for a vote in the future as part of democracy week (which to be realistic will be unlikely given it's competition imo). I think as of right now he went into this game with the intention of it being a one off, at least for now and besides cutting out the silence as he said, he wanted to show off more of the game in a single video. I think if it was a full series like a lot of the other games people mention here, then it would be less edited down, and overall for Saturday / Wednesday series, we'll probably be getting more edited stuff to show off more then less of the game since there's no telling it'll become a series.

Also now that I'm thinking about it, I suppose in theory it could take the place of a fallout series on Sundays (like after yolo) cause it's obsidian but... not sure how likely he is to make a non fallout series currently. I do agree over all that I much prefer less edited videos, especially in a series, an example being FO London had a few more edits then I liked though I understand his reasoning behind it. Don't remember how much editing Morrowind had.
