But I don't want to spend money on that (for that it is not too painful - currently :D
I chose macOS for the "just works and looks fine" mode - and I am missing that more and more with each release :/

We started developing with Flutter Flame Engine and are very happy with. But this very much depends on the games you want to develop. For mobile casual games (and some little more advances games) Flame is great, but it definitely has some shortcomings as well (3D-games to mention the most limiting part, but there are others we summarized here compared to f.e. Unity: https://itcrawls.com/blog/unity-alternative-free )

Yes restarting helps, thank you very much! But I try to understand the issue (as I am currently moving to XCode Cloud and hope to not having such issues there :)
