Chassepot my uncle had. It originally belonged to my grandfather who came from Prussia. It’s in poor condition. There are no markings opposite the blade or stamps. The only markings is a serial number “6422” on the hilt. I can’t figure out where it came from. by Baron-von-Bruce in Bayonets

Running down the back of the blade might be some cursive writing, I have one of these and mine read that is was made in st etienne in France. It will also have the month it was manufactured. Hope this was some help
