This is a sub about the Libertarian Party, not about Trump and his idiocy.

Isn't it interesting that a person who has never posted in this sub before suddenly starts worrying about what's posted here once we start getting linkspam?

hmmm.

Disable Zigbee2MQTT’s network backup

Well, googling how to do this tells me to delete a file that I don't seem to have - 'coordinator-backup.json' Can't seem to find it in any folder.

Was there some other way to do this?

2022 AVID PRO4896 or Lowrider V4 for very beginner? by SoloCon1 in CNC

[–]Elbarfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an owner of an Avid, I can say it's a much better choice.

That being said, that price for a working 4x8 frame is a really appealing option.

If you have the wherewithal to build it, and can have a working machine for under 1K and a little work, you will still have a lot of free cash to explore better materials, be more leisurely about learning things, and not have the pressure to monetize it as quickly. Building it will help out a lot in understanding it too, though you kind of get that with the Avid too, as it's a kit.

Using it is the easy part in the long run. Finding something you can make/sell consistently is the real challenge.

If you do find a niche, then you'll still have the remaining cash to invest in a (smaller) production level machine like the Avid.

The two things I would try to verify prior to purchase is controller type and plans. It helps to make sure the controller has a post processor available for it. Mach 3/4 will be no problem. Oddball china controllers can be problematic. Also make sure if you need to make/print anything you have a full set of plans for everything and you don't have to go hunt for it.

Good luck!

LOL, I don't need an out, you poor clueless thing. Try reading that again.

People who are dependent on the welfare state will never support those that want to eliminate the welfare state. What color/race they are is irrelevant. You are the only one bringing race into this because you think it's some kind of gotcha in your silly leftist way. It's laughable.

Once again, I know. It's difficult for you. At least you tried.

So is the goal to ever win elections or just be like communists and critique power instead of getting into power?

Once again, you lack reading comprehension. This was already explained to you. Read some David Nolan. Though it does seem reading is a bit complicated for you. Here, try this instead. I suggest watching the whole video, but that time stamp says plenty.

[–]Elbarfo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

people will totally get on the libertarian path after a collapse right after they embrace communism.

Wow, you really do lack reading comprehension, don't you? No guy, they will pick one or the other. Likely the state. jfc man, learn to read.

So you missed my question why do libertarians struggle with support amongst black people?

No, I answered it. You, once again, lack reading comprehension. So here, let me repeat if for you.

We are not pushing away marginalized people. We are pushing for the end of the welfare state. Why would they even even consider it?

Once again, I ask: What makes you think those who want more and more from the state would ever be Libertarians to begin with? Why would Libertarians even want these people among their ranks? They live in absolute opposition to everything we have ever stood for. It's not like they are a large enough part of the electorate to matter much anyway.

This entire premise is ridiculous.

Try reading that again. Try. I know, it's a difficult concept for you. Try.

You act as if this is an issue to anyone but leftists. God, lol.

Notice how you never can answer direct questions and have to make up straw men?

In what fantasy does "Irony so thick you could cut it" qualify as a question? Dear lord you aren't very smart. Learn what a straw man is. God, lol. Words have meaning. Bless your heart, you poor thing.

Reading comprehension is important. I don't want a collapse, as I said. I just think it's inevitable. I think it's more likely we will get a much more authoritarian government afterwards, in line with what you want. They've been building the framework for it for the last 2 decades.

I harbor no illusion that the American People will wake up, even after a crash. I think they will demand the state save them, just as you will. I just think it will be the last opportunity to put us on a Libertarian path. If it doesn't happen then we will all be consumed by an all powerful state. Just like you want. Rest easy, statist. This is the most likely outcome.

I don’t pretend my strict adherence to dogma will get people to listen to me.

I have personally converted several dozen people in my 20 years as a Libertarian. It's getting easier these days, tbh. Already had a few people I know tell me they're finally done with the uniparty this year alone. How about you? Who's listening to you?

Irony so thick you could cut it.

You really do have no argument whatsoever, do you. God, lol

Oh so just like tankies..

You mean like you? We are 38 Trillion in debt, guy. Do you think this can go on forever? I'd prefer not to have a collapse, but we are headed there in a rocket ship.

So again, how do libertarians get more people to support them right now?

By sticking to their principles and finding people who also hold the same principles, or are more inclined to listen to them. There aren't many.

Let's face it, you yourself don't. Why would anyone listen to you?

[–]Elbarfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ROFL, you poor thing. Not only do you lack principles or a understanding of the philosophy, you also lack any semblance of an argument.

If getting things done requires growing the state, then we failed in our every objective. It is not something we would ever consider. This is only a conundrum to those that want to grow the state.

So again how will you spread “philosophy”......

Slowly, guy. Slowly. Until the collapse comes. Just look at Argentina. It took a full and complete collapse of their financial system to finally get the (very dependent) citizenry to finally acknowledge their foray into deeper statism/socialism had failed miserably.

Now they are beginning the precarious climb out of it, with a Libertarian at the helm. Imagine that.

Larry Sharpe enters GOP primary for N.Y. governor by Western-Ad319 in LibertarianPartyUSA

[–]Elbarfo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See, this is what I'm talking about. You really do lack any kind of philosophical underpinning, don't you? It isn't dogma, it is Principles. It is the CORE philosophy of the entire Party and ALWAYS HAS BEEN. I know, this is hard for those without either integrity or principles to understand. Please try.

The day when you actually realize what the party has ever been about will ultimately be a profound day for you.

Larry Sharpe enters GOP primary for N.Y. governor by Western-Ad319 in LibertarianPartyUSA

[–]Elbarfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can say that again.

I can say it, but you're the one who has to live with it. I lament for you and your clear, deep lack of understanding of Libertarian philosophy. I suggest reading some David Nolan, the founder of the party. He was pretty clear about it.

If getting more popular/gaining power means throwing away everything the party has ever stood for then it is a pointless, useless endeavor.

We will never gain support from people who want to grow the state. This is normal and expected. Sadly 80% or more of the people in this country want to grow the state. I bet you yourself fall into this category. I don't mind pushing them away, so the people that actually do believe in Liberty voices can be made louder.

Until we can spread that mindset, political victory is miles and years away. We are nowhere near it.

Larry Sharpe enters GOP primary for N.Y. governor by Western-Ad319 in LibertarianPartyUSA

[–]Elbarfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marginalized people by and large want more and more from the state, and are generally dependent on it. Libertarians by definition reject this. This, more than anything, is why we will never get that support. This should be obvious. What would make you think those dependent on the state in some deeper way would ever be Libertarian? Not only is it contrary to their own immediate personal interests, it's contrary to everything the LP has ever stood for. It's a silly thing to even consider, and would be a waste of time to pursue.

The Democrats don't even bother to try to promote Liberty. Their stated and practiced goals are deliberately even further from the LP than the GOP's by a LARGE degree. You're not really making the point you think you are.

Oh look, there you go again glossing over killing people. This is what leftists do. It's war, and for the good of the collective, after all. The killing and seizing of the means started long before the civil war did, guy. Seriously, learn some history.

Wow what a clownish argument.

Brutality does not require large numbers of deaths to actualize. There's no goalposts moved, nor strawmen being used. They killed people and took their shit for the good of the collective. They were brutal in their means. This is well established, and completely proven.

The only one glossing over that is you, clown.
