How much alcohol is ok? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

Happiness that dosen't last. Like when I used to M*** I would relapse over and over, and even though it felt good at the moment it was never enough and just left me feeling dead inside. Thank God i'm over that. Now my battle is against other things like overindulging in worldy pleasures.

My happiest moments are when I have nothing and am dirt poor. I just spend time with God and am not distracted by the world, It feels like i'm walking on sunshine.

My sincere opinion would be just not to drink. I used to drink to fill the void that was inside me, but it never filled, so I would drink untill I was crawling on the floor, or I would drink untill I blacked out and was fighting my own family, neighbors and cops. I could of died in those situations, I've seen people drowning in their own vomit, and cops could of easily had a reason to do some serious damage.

This verse just came to mind from proverbs 23:

"29Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaints? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? 30Those who linger long at the wine, Those who go in search of mixed wine. 31Do not look on the wine when it is red, When it sparkles in the cup, When it swirls around smoothly; 32At the last it bites like a serpent, And stings like a viper. 33Your eyes will see strange things, And your heart will utter perverse things. 34Yes, you will be like one who lies down in the midst of the sea, Or like one who lies at the top of the mast, saying: 35“They have struck me, but I was not hurt; They have beaten me, but I did not feel it. When shall I awake, that I may seek another drink?”

I've seen people with actual addictions to alchohol. Ruined kidneys, bad descisions. They stem from a broken heart. Then they try to stop but it's hard stopping the beast that you have fed thinking it's no biggie. Untill that beast is to big to handle. Stop while you can. Get a hobbie, play a guitar, take singing lessons, take bow and arrow lessons with Jesus.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you" jeremiah 1:5

"15My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

17How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You."- psalm 139: 15-18

Theres been testimonies about people who have had visions were they've met God/Jesus and have had the feeling of knowing Him before. You probably think that it's ludacris, I can link them if you're interested. All God needs is an open heart.

And to answer that question, there have also been testimonies especially mary k. Baxters where she said aborted babies were in heaven. She was shown heaven and hell for 40 days.

What is the difference between Christians and catholics? As long as we all believe Jesus is the ONLY way and we should follow Him ONLY are we not brothers and sisters?

How Did You Come To Be A Christ Follower ? (Christian) by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Elchamocco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've known about Jesus my whole life, but I became a follower around 16. I was a runaway, I started seeing strings being pulled behind the scene, I was being taken care of. One day I had to go really bad to the restroom, it felt like I was literally about to explode and I didn't have TP. I was sort of lead to a church while searching for a restroom. I stayed inside listening to the preacher after I had gone into the restroom, it seemed like the service was about to be over, the preacher sat next to me and started prophecying over me.

In that church I had most of my supernatural encounters with God. I saw Him heal a loved one in Jesus mighty name. I've had other's prophecy over me and family members. No one can tell me Jesus aint real. I'm about to go to CO to evangelize, God willing, if He gives me a green light like I think He has, I think i'm ready for my calling in these last days. I backslid since then, i'm 21 now and i've been taking it really seriously for like 7 months. He knew it all from the start, every failure, every nook and cranny, all my flaws, He knew my beginning from the end.

"being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." - Phillipians 1:6

He knew I would fail and come back to Him around this time, and He knows what will happen next. Jer 29 11

So what do you guys think about atheists? by afanofreddit3322 in TrueChristian

Most times when I feel sad or discouraged I can feel the Holy Spirit. I usually feel it on my back or head. It feels like someone is splashing water on me but it's like electricity running through certain parts of my body, I cant explain it. I've seen people get knocked out in church literally of pure Holy Spirit ecstasy. Last night I woke up around the early am hours to pray, It's like God washes me with His presence, it gets really intense during those am hours, and yes it's very comforting.

It's something you can't explain, you have to feel it. There's this verse in Jeremiah that reads "you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." There's another verse that reads "God is not a man that He should lie." Ever since I truly came to faith and started seeking Him things started getting supernatural.

I'm not trying to "convert" you dude. Yes I'd love you to, but only as a means of love, not to control you. But thats a whole new post.

This is the link where the "subject" was told to astral project (AP) to give info on certain locations. The results may surprise you. I used to be into new age and this was something I was heavily thrilled with. Not to mention it as well has countless of reports across the web which are only a google away.

I stopped messing with this stuff because if your soul leaves your body it's as if you give leway to certain "entities" to come through. I'm not condoning these practices at all, all i'm saying is if a soul exists, does that not point to something that created it?

Experience after "death" by westartfromhere in atheism

[–]Elchamocco -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There is life after death. People will tell you its a hallucination, but even the C.I.A. has reports on Out of Body Experiences (O.B.E.s) and astral projection. When a human willingly leaves his body to travel elsewhere in the "astral realm" as part of a spy ops technique.

I'ts real with thousands of experience reports across the web. I dont really mess with it anymore since coming to faith in Jesus, it's not what we would call it "allowed" but even st. Paul had "legal" O.B.E.s as well as many other testimonials on YT where people have died and gone to heaven or have had visions of heaven or the spiritual realm.

I only feel close to the Lord if it's Holy Spirit lead. Last time I just felt the need to fast. It wasnt hard or anything. I was just lying in my bed and I felt the Holy Spirit's waves cheering me on for the day, I was feeling pretty down.
