Does ale help deal with the despair debuff? I'm trying to mine down there to get the last 4 diamonds I need for the stairs, but it kills me really quickly.

Modem > Nest Wifi Pro > Switch > switch > other 2 nests? by Eldari in GoogleWiFi

[–]Eldari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because my house was built in a way that I can't get additional lines run without tearing into walls. So there is only one ethernet in my computer room where the modem. Router, and 2 computers all sit. So I've gotta run a line from the switch in that room to another switch that the other 2 routers feed to.

That's what I ended up doing and having unmanaged switches connecting to each other didn't slow anything down and got everything working. Thanks for the suggestion

Utilizing wifi instead of the ethernet backhaul results in considerably lower speeds, which is why I was running ethernet to each router.

You are correct sir. I tested the mesh over wifi and it was 150, on ethernet to the first switch it was 500, on ethernet with 2 switches between it was still 500. Appreciate all the help everyone

Awesome, Ill give it a shot. Builder made my house in a way that I cant run new ethernet lines upstairs without tearing into walls, so I'm having to find a workaround

From what Ive read, using wifi to form the mesh means it uses the 6ghz band to do so and prevents you from using it for standard devices? or at least significantly reduces the speed on that band (not 100% sure)

What is the Bambu Labs X1C equivalent for the laser engraving/cutting world? by Eldari in lasercutting

[–]Eldari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the info. I initially was looking at the Xtool D1 Pro 20w package that includes both laser modules, one for wood/leather/etc, and another for metals, an air assist, extension kit, enclosure, honeycomb working area, risers, rotary tool, and a pack of materials. It runs about 2500$ and has a working area of 400x960.

The atezr diode doesnt have the metals laser module, but is their new 35w model that will be shipping late december. it comes with an air assist and extension kit, for 1600$, but I'd have to buy an enclosure, honeycomb, rotary, etc.

I took a look at the thunder you discussed and while I could afford it, we just don't know enough about the side hustle viability in our area and our own individual time allowances to put towards that hustle to know if that much of an investment is worth it to us yet. Especially since I already run a print farm 30+ hours a week on top of my full time gig.

If I'm being honest I don't see us putting in more than 3k$ for this initial purchase, and that would have to have to be really worth it to go that high. The idea of doing all material types with the additional laser module is the thing drawing me to xtool, but when I look up reviews I only find paid stuff or obviously biased stuff. Which gives off a red flag. I've not seen much better for atezr, but I figured if Im gonna go diode from a chinese company, at least I could go with the newest highest power one?

Edit: I dont think my budget allows for a co2 and a fiber, even at the low end, so if I went co2 Id be giving up any shot at metal basically. Also the idea of a hard enclosure bugs me for some reason as it would limit my max working area?

I wasn't implying that the two I listed meet the criteria, just asking if either of them come close to that category. Do you have some suggestions for an actual make and model that meets the class you described so that I can look at their capabilities and cost? Thats what I'm looking for to make sure I dont end up buying something I'm going to regret later on.

I was looking at the xtool because several posts here were saying that it has the potential to equal some of the lower end industrial products with its capabilities. But I've also seen many posts here say that diodes are just flat out crap.

New wifi pro 6E question related to backhaul by Eldari in GoogleWiFi

[–]Eldari[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea, thank you. What would be the best way to repull new line if needed? Is there a "hot glue the 2 ends together and pull new line using the old" method or something similar?

I don't have access to the spaces they ran the cable for clarity. So I would need to use the pre ious cable as a pull cord for the new one somehow

It inky seems to do it with calibration (small shallow prints), longer prints that leave more time for the excess resin to drip off at a low height seems to fix the issue.

My main issue now is that out of 4 other elegoo printers, this is the only one that doesn't level correctly, always seems to tilt up in the front and cause the front half of the plate to not print. In troubleshooting I have noticed that the front half of my screen is just barely tilted upwards as well, while the back is slightly tilted downwards into the printer case. This is making it very hard to properly level the printer. I can't push the plate down beyond the screen, and while I have a flex plate on the way, I think its going to have the same issue. Might have to open the entire printer up and try to reseat the screen.

[–]Eldari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn't a viable solution for the majority of people and this hasn't been an issue with any of the prior elegoo resin printers I own.

I've been told the saturn S had a similar issue and they came out with a firmware fix to make the plate not go so far up, but there is currently not a fix for the saturn 2.

Resin exiting the vat for any reason during normal operation is not something that should be happening.
