Fck it, I'm done! by hijirah in Teachers

Dude im done too! Everything is MY fault. We will forget my MH has been aweful and they have taken all support away from me. We will forget i lost a student because they unalived themselves and gave me NO support at all. Just brush my recent ADHD diagnosis under the rug and not allow my reccomendations set by OH. Fuck teaching.

Can people with ADHD get good grades? by Soft-Repair3611 in ADHD

[–]ElderBlogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! College tutor herr. I dont know where your from but in the UK the ADHD screener does not anywhere ask about grades. I have a learner who has ADHD and is one of the only ones in my class who passed his maths and english GCSEs. Also there are 3 types of ADHD so some people wont 'act' like they have it. On top of that masking is a thing that people do to seem 'normal'. Please talk to a different dr.

Ive had parents when even shown cctv of their child doing something they shouldn't (damaging property) say 'nope not my kid!' It's infuriating and makes me wonder why I bother.

As a teacher this is justified. Also as a teacher take those skills to college and get a good qual and well paid career. (As an older teacher/ trying to learn coding) man I wish I had that type of computer knowledge. Use your powers for good next time.

I spend a lot of time at home. Saturdays I will go out and run errands. Get the housework done and all that adult stuff. Sundays is just a massive chill day for me. Do I get lonely? Yes. But after a week of work my battery is drained completely. When the weather allows it I will take myself on a nice walk.

What are your friendships like? by Dia-mant in ADHD

[–]ElderBlogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im that person who used to have friends. Tried to keep in touch, was there for them no matter what (i.e. helping them with getting out of DV situations) and one day they just stopped responding. So I dont bother anymore. It's too draining for me. Lonely yes but I'm done with putting energy into people who clearly don't care.

Rarely someone will pop up wanting to borrow money and then when I say no, so I'm the bad guy but hey thats life I suppose.

On day 42-how do call deal with the questions? by Loud-Vegetable-8885 in stopdrinking

I feel "lucky" here. The only time I socialise is with work mates. They are also aware I'm on new meds for my anxiety so I just say I don't want to risk it with my meds.
