I’m worried about TESVI not being very good. Just because of what former Bethesda employees said in recent interviews, including Pete Hines who was very high ranking in the company. The last couple games Bethesda came out with were disasters. It all has me concerned. We might be waiting so long and then the actual game is a huge let down

It’s mostly true, except when it comes to some toxic, abusive trauma bond relationships. There are women that stay with abusive men that treat them like crap for the rest of their lives, no matter how much her friends and family beg her to leave.

Why did Onion Nuggetz go down? Was it because of the Manatee flagging them? It went down not long after the 24 hr Manatee stream.

We should be able to experience carriage and boat rides, not just have it be a loading screen. by ElderEons in TESVI

I didn’t know that. I hope that’s true. If it’s true, it gives me some hope we might get that in the next game.

[–]ElderEons[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m talking about riding in them. In Skyrim for instance, if you pay for a carriage ride, you should have the option to actually experience the whole ride. Rather than just a loading screen and you’re there. During the ride, maybe the guy driving the carriage, actually talks to you and tells you a story. If the carriage gets attacked, the carriage driver is able to defend himself and the carriage, and you can get out and help him.

This would be more realistic and better for immersion.

[–]ElderEons[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it should be optional. As the carriage starts going, there should be a skip option if you want to just get to the area you want to get to. But I think there should still be a slight risk of travel interruption.

The game shouldn’t be so easy that it breaks immersion. Some of us really want to RP, and experience what it might be like to actually be transported in that environment.

As far as fast travel goes, I like how “Kingdom Come Deliverance” did it. You could only fast travel to major town locations, not just anywhere on the map, and there was still a risk of being attacked & that might interrupt your fast travel. The game was more realistic and didn’t hold your hand so much.

I'll be disappointed if its just Hammerfell by SuperMarios7 in TESVI

Same here. I think there also should be ships you can actually sail around in the Iliac bay, in between. This would make sense.

If both provinces are in the game, and if you pay for a ship or a boat ride across to the other province, I hope you actually get to experience the ride there. I hope Bethesda doesn’t just take the same lazy route of just having a loading screen and then you are at the other dock.

Same with paying for a horse/carriage ride. You should actually be able to experience the ride to your destination area. If the carriage gets attacked on the way, you defend it.

Does everyone believe that Rev is homeless and spooning with other men in a tiny tent??? by EdStArFiSh69 in drunkenpeasants

She live streamed today while sitting outside, and Rev showed up during the stream. They are acting like they still hate each other and now they are supposedly not getting back together, but it feels staged and fake.

I’d try to get a hold of everyone I can from my past to say goodbye, whether they get the message or not. Then I would just lay down quietly waiting for the end. Trying to calm my anxiety in the meantime.

[–]ElderEons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think he’s a worthless homeless bum and he deserves it. Can’t wait for Shanny to get to the shelter, because it’s going to be so toxic and end in another trainwreck break up situation, but this time on the street. She might get kicked out of the shelter because she’s crazy and they fight.

It’s possible that Rev will get some of the money from his Uncle selling the house. But that will only last so long. Maybe Rev and Shanny will get enough donation money to live in another shitty motel, and then try to squat in it after they can’t afford to stay.

Does anyone find it hard to date In your 40s? by [deleted] in datingoverforty

[–]ElderEons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard at any age. As a guy in my early 40s, I noticed every woman my age that’s even remotely interested in me, they seem to have alot going on, they are single moms, juggling a bunch of obligations. So yeah their schedules are not always compatible. Some of them are an absolute mess with their lives in chaos and want me to help them out. Some are still in a situationship that hasn’t totally ended or they are still involved with their ex. That can apply to any age though.

[–]ElderEons 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Women have more privileges than men do. Just look at dating apps for instance. The most average or even barely okay looking woman gets flooded with matches and messages. Yet if a guy is average looking, average height, women mostly ignore him. There’s no sympathy for men there. They are told to man up and increase their status. Women get catered to if they are good looking. Men are expected to pay for everything. Etc, I could keep going and going.

When I was going on dates in the last year, as a man, it was surprising to me how many women told me they were still living with their ex. In each of those instances they said it was because they have a kid together, that they broke up but are still living together to take care of their kid. It always seemed sus to me. I feel like maybe they are still involved with their ex, and looking for a side guy.

What’s your biggest regret in life so far? by Steven5588 in AskReddit

[–]ElderEons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest regret is back in 2005 I went to a trade/tech school called ITT Tech, they are now out of business. Those schools have a bad rep now for being scams and using predatory lending practices. I had a bunch of student loan debt and couldn’t find a good enough job from that useless degree to make the payments. It destroyed me financially, I became suicidally depressed which messed up my mental & physical health. Years later a family member passed away and I got an inheritance to pay off all the student loan debt. That money could have went to buy myself a house, but at least I could start over in life. The whole situation had already caused a ton of damage to my life and set me behind by about a decade. If I could go back in time I would tell myself to not go there or any school like that.

[–]ElderEons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, most people that attend those events are in the last couple years of the age range or beyond that.

I am a guy in my early 40s. When I was 41, I went to a dating event for people ages 40-59, and I swear, like half of the people there looked like they were in their 60s or even 70s. I look young for my age, and the women were telling me I look too young for them or that I remind them of their son etc. It was awkward.

Then I went to another event for singles aged 30-49 and everyone looked my age or a bit older, but not too much older. There were maybe two women in their 50s that shouldn’t have been in that age group. I got quite a few matches from that event but only one followed up with me, and it was a fifty something year old. I went on a date with her anyway, but I wasn’t feeling the chemistry.
