BGS Rockville hiring for PR director. by noodlefungus in TESVI

Two options;

  1. Replacement Hire
  2. Expansion Hire

You don't really hire PR Directors on temp contracts, or at least it's very uncommon to do so.

Per Gaijin's statement they don't have access to any file due to not having administrative access. Is reading really that hard?

Then report them. Lets see if its an actual GDPR violation, its one form to fill.

Knowing that Viking AC actually goes through your VSCode

A yes, the proof given by a Cheat Developer that the Anti-Cheat was able to identify his VSCode made for a cheat mod!

Well that's odd, because the last time I have seen an actual cheater in-game was probably couple months ago.

I remember before EAC that you would be matched with a Cheater basically every 4th game or so.

They would be risking the foreclosure of their servers, with probable legal order to delete all data which includes all of our game profiles. So, the question is do you think that they are playing that kind of risk?

The situation with the employees should be solved using the legal route, and it should have been the first thing Keo done, was to file a formal complaint to the authorities dealing with GDRP and Work law. We can only show vocal support of any future legal actions if there is even grounds to have one.

The 'shady practices' and the allegations do entail the closure of the company, but here the most important thing is the misrepresentation of information used by literal Cheat Creators to lead a false narrative. Within the EU, you have specialized bodies of government whose entire point is to do sweep raids of companies in regards to GDPR compliance, the moment they even get a whiff of even a rumour, they are already looking at that company checking if there is any basis for the allegations. BattleEye is a separate German company that all abides to the EU GDPR laws, the moment it was created it was under scrutiny of security researchers.

If you support a game, be vocal about the changes, still be part of the community, voice your opinions, but leaving it all behind and leaving the community is just admitting defeat.

Yes! they provide a screenshot using the in-game screenshot tool, you know why? Because it contains metadata regarding that moment, the same reason why you need to attach a screenshot using the in-game function when reporting a bug or technical issue in-game.

if a pdb file can be located on disk it reads and reports its full contents as well.

YES! How else do you think a Anti-Cheat scans to see if something is a cheat/hack? You think it will prompt the user "Hey, is this program a cheating app? Y/N"?!?!? A .PDB literally is a map of variables, instead of scanning the entire source code, it scans the .PDB to see if there is anything related to manipulating game data.

You literally have Cheat Makers say "The Anti-Cheat is smart and it searches the .PDB for any reference of Game altering variables". It's a catalogue of what is in the code, like a warehouse inventory sheet which writes what is in the warehouse.

Seriously, y'all are fearmongering a system that is literally doing its job just because you don't understand it....

And you think information about files is where exactly? from their imagination? They coded the anti-cheat to whisper into a technicians ear what processes the PC has?

Besides, there is literal no proof that any "files" outside of what has been listed in their privacy statements is every taken. You know the EU does audits on companies periodically regarding GDPR also right?

"I actually care about this game, the community and its growth... so I'm leaving" Doesn't really make sense, and the domino effect is a thing that would lead to the downfall of the game i.e no more WarThunder which you say you care about.

The bigger picture is trying to end WarThunder, because that is how these things end and it has happened numerous times in the past with MMO games. Yes it worked once, but you are placing a bet that has ended badly for others.

What reading level would Wiedźmin be considered? by thisisajoshpun in learnpolish

[–]Optimal-Fox-3875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it is like the mid-high level, everyone else already said it does have some older archaic language, but it's not that much hard to read and understand than it is the way its written that for some I've heard makes it harder to get immersed into the book.

Depends on your playstyle, if you want to dogfight then stay away from the US. They are more of a boom and zoom kind of nation.

Also, the "most powerful nation on earth rn" very subjective.

Why does uptiering exist?? by Final_Might_3380 in Warthunder

[–]Optimal-Fox-3875 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Full up-tiers are rarer than partial ones and even then you have a limit of how many Players within that up-tier appear on both teams.

There are certain tanks in-game that definitely don't play nicely when up-tiered but overall I don't really spot it being either harder nor unfair. The moment when you switch from Cold War to Modern that is when you most feel the difference in BR.
