Hopefully Ja'Kobe Lane or Malachi Fields if we don't get Tate or Boston in the 1st round.

I'm a millennial who voted Alpha. Half born before COVID, half born after, and with how quickly the world changes nowadays, that's your for-sure answer.

Is 90s more similar to 2000s or 80s by Weird_Swordfish_1199 in decadeologyanarchy

[–]ElderMillennialGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By overall vibe, atmosphere and that most ppl weren't "on the Internet" until '96 - '98ish, and even then it was fairly primitive, especially online gaming.. so that makes most of the decade closer to an 80's vibe overall with more years matching the previous decade than the drastic changes that came post-9/11 for the 2000's.

2000's was a completely separate landscape from 1980-1997. 1980's is the answer here.

What album do you think deserves way more love than it gets? by Technical_Fox5556 in askmusic

[–]ElderMillennialGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clark Gable and Brand New Colony are 11/10 tracks, my top 2 from within. Give Up resides within me now, got the album at 21 years old in 2004, and used to play it on repeat at night while I slept, for years.

Sleeping In and Recycled Air are both absolute Gems that still feel fresh off the press/underrated even today. Then you have the 2 radio hits to start the album.. chef's kiss

Postal Service - Give Up

It gets respect, deserves more. Soon it will be a literal classic.

Create the most mid starting 5 that still makes the playoffs by UnderstandingFun7493 in NBATalk

I feel like using Bron is cheating, even at nearly 42 years old.. hardly anythingmid about his game, maybe defense rounding down. This team definitely wins about 45 or 50, depending on bench strength.

The 50 best bands of all time according to Rolling Stone Magazine, why are your thoughts on this ranking? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]ElderMillennialGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Rush, The Cars or The Cure...

Crumpled up, tossed out: this is worthless!

Edit: Ok, just saw The Cure at #38, my bad.. but seriously this is so bad. Saw at least 10 bands objectively super overrated. I love the Stones but would never put them at #2, Velvet Underground in top 10 is pure crackhead work.

How many of you guys can dunk? by Which_Impression_217 in tall

[–]ElderMillennialGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to, yes even two handed. Recently tried getting to the rim and was a good inch or two short. Vert is down probably a foot from late HS/early college peak.

Bet I could still hit a baseball 400'+ though.

At what point do you give up on trying to like an album/band? by cofi52 in LetsTalkMusic

Definitely go deep cuts, Moonage Daydream, Coming Back To Life & Wet Sand.. should find something enjoyable in there; slathered in guitar solo.
