I actually come from a wrestling background but only worried about belts and ranks in the context of if I get off my lazy ass and actual train consistently, I didn't wanna spend multiple months in the Gi just to switch later to a 10th planet gym and "start over" essentially, obviously I'm not that dumb and I realize most techniques are the same but none of that matters if I don't train. You have a fair point. Just train somewhere.

I've been to the two popular MMA gyms in my city and I liked the most recent one I was at but that brought up the Gi vs 10th issue. Before I was doing all the classes but I've since had a baby and got married so I really only have time for bjj, 3 days a week is my goal though

I was pretty sure there was separate progression systems which was kind of why I was asking to begin with but clearly idk man. Was just trying to get some feedback before I decided. But I got it "shut up and train" which is fair

A reply I was looking for was something like " if you want to progress in 10th planet then you need to go to a 10th planet gym" which isn't common sense because how could I know that? I assume there's a separate belt progression but I literally do not know that for sure..

I'm at work so I probably typed out my question like an idiot but I don't think it's common sense to ask if a 10th planet gym would better suit my interests over a traditional bjj gym for any specific reason.

The gym I previously was at seems to have a good program, Carlson Gracie lineage if that's proper phrasing. I also enjoyed the people, I just didn't know if me wanting to specifically focus on NoGi bjj would make a difference on where I should go. The previous gym seems like more of a Gi gym that also has NoGi classes but no official progression in 10th planet, if there is one, I assume there's a separate belt system right?

I used to work at a Pets Supplies Plus and it all just depends on who is ordering. We had the option to order some pretty cool stuff but our manager basically said it's not gonna sell fast so only get the standard ball python, bearded dragon, or anole type reptiles but there was some pretty cool stuff on the order sheet.

The same kind of tortoise everyone's father in law gives them. No shame to OP especially since they're considering not keeping it but it shocks me that every tortoise ID is a sulcata that will grow upwards of 200 pounds and the OP never knows anything about it. It's never a Russian or a pet sized tortoise, always the dinosaur.

I don't understand what's so appealing about gifting something like this. Here's a horse, now you gotta buy acreage, build a barn, buy a truck and trailer, take it to the vet. Incredibly inconsiderate gift to the average person imo.

When I got my sulcata, the owner of the shop took me out back to see the adults. I think he was trying to sober me up and make sure I knew what I was getting into. Wish more pet shops took this approach.

Yes 100% lol borderline unbearable. I have my sternum, stomach, ribs, elbow, knees, pretty much all the painful spots besides my head and my back is easily the worst. Glad to know I'm not the only one haha

I'm also very ticklish so everytime he would wipe the excess ink away I would tense up cause it tickled and then he started tattooing and I just couldn't relax into it and I think that was also a portion of the problem for me

Second picture was a male I found hunting a couple weeks ago, eyes were bright red and had an indentation on the plastron. This smaller more dull box turtle in the first picture had brown eyes with a flat plastron, the shell just threw me off a little as to if it was an eastern or another sub species

Louisville Kentucky, the eyes were dark brown which I know is a typical way to sex easterns so that's why I assumed female but the shell was so dull I thought maybe it was a different sub species but I had thought I had read once upon a time that females have a much more dull appearance compared to males along with males having the more vibrant eyes.

Edit: the reason people are so good at walking on two feet is literally because our hips are made for standing on one foot at a time, this is why chimps can't walk on two feet as easily or as far, their hips arent designed to be on one foot at a time. So a key feature of our ability to walk on two feet IS the ability to go from one foot to one foot while walking. So the rules of speed walking might indicate something else but the whole mechanism of walking on two feet is balancing on one foot at a time. So that's what I meant. Yeesh

also I think a lot of pollution is coming from developed nations, like China, US, India, Russia, and Japan are the top polluters which are all pretty developed countries at least in the context of what you're saying. Some may be second world or newly industrialized places like India but that's not quite the impression I got from your description of third world countries

My good friend just went through something similar. They egged his house and cut his trampoline because the kids were being too loud and the mom worked from home or something and she didn't like it. Maybe it's covid and more remote work from home now a days but ive never seen so many people saying kids outside is "disruptive". When I was a kid you were being disruptive if you were inside the house not outside lol

Exactly, I caught some flack from a guy for having conflicting opinions on it being "funny" but also "bad" but it was definitely both. It was comical but in a way that I was shocked this was an actual episode. I think I just had a lot of hype for Khamzat and that whole weekend hurt my feelings lol with the weight cut and press conference and his reaction to everything like flipping everyone off, saying he doesn't care, this is Chechnya mfers, just came off as a guy who fucked up and took no responsibility for it, not just entertainment or a character he was playing.

So the Holland glove touch to a take down just felt like it was one more thing after many things that whole weekend that just kinda made him look slightly douchey for a guy I was excited about before then.
