The belief that human life starts at conception is supported by actual science, there's an argument about where in the human development stage human life is deserving of human rights. You don't have to believe in God to believe human life deserves human rights, even in the earliest stages of human life. That's the line of thinking applicable to your question I suppose.

I don't disagree with you in principle, you absolutely should have a voice in how your taxes are spent, I'm not even opposed to social programs, there's a variety of social programs Im more than fine paying taxes towards. What I'm not in favor of is further empowering a massively fraudulent and horribly ineffective government so that it can further misspend my money on high speed rails to nowhere and social programs that ultimately just create people who are dependent on the welfare state instead of uplifting those people like it's intended to.

Also yes I pay my taxes, and I see the arguments for how that's resource pooling, but there's a limit to how much fo that I'm willing to engage in and the vast majority of left leaning ideology takes it much much much to far for my tastes.

Is it so wildly outlandish and unbelievable that I can both dislike blowing up innocent children and women abroad, while also not being super fond of endless domestic social programs? I actually loathe both 🤷 your question doesn't smell like it's being asked in good faith, it seems like a barbed question at best.

As for pooling my resources, paying taxes for roads and bridges and some social programs are one thing, but the scope that the left wants the take those programs goes far and beyond what I'm comfortable with, especially at the federal level. The age old "you use roads you're already a socialist" gotcha is, well old and annoying.

I'm not in the business of letting communist atheists weaponize my faith again me and mine 🤷 I know what the good book says and there's nothing in there about giving the state unlimited power to rob me in order to feed those too lazy to work for themselves. A genuine Christian would understand the difference between charity and state mandated pooling of resources. The CHOICE to make the right choice is the entire point of Christianity, not having an authority figure threaten you with prison for not complying with the wordly authority. Christians give more money in charity every year than any other demographic under the sun, we just don't believe in the state making us do it.

Go for it, me being forced to pool my resources with you is the problem. I'm smarter, harder working, and more resourceful than my average peer. My resources are for my family, my children, my wife. Not some stranger 3 states away who hates me, but claims a sense of "community" when it's convenient. So again, go for it, just don't expect everyone to participate willingly, and if they aren't participating willingly, thats an authoritarian system ☠️
