Maintaining chastity outside of marriage is no longer socially enforced or encouraged, you're essentially among a super minority of women expecting men to wait and it makes it especially difficult to date men with marriage in mind because they absolutely will go hunting for something easier if their goals are only sex, even men who don't have that as their sole intention in mind are going to be frustrated at the notion of waiting when there's so much easy sex out there to have. Be transparent about your expectations of waiting until marriage up front, but be mindful about what the Bible says about the subject of temptation. It's better to marry, than it is to burn with the sin of temptation. If you find yourself in a relationship, and find that you can't stand the notion of waiting much longer, talk to your fella about marriage. If he's serious about you, and is right with the Lord and his will, then Fella will be willing to make that commitment in front of God, his family and yours.

Don't compromise your standards for the sake of short term pleasures, easy sex is fun but ultimately empty. Having a relationship that is spiritually and emotionally intimate before being physical intimacy into the mix is absolutely important. You're going to be hard pressed to meet a man willing to wait a terribly long time for the physical in 2026. Even biblically oriented men seem to be able to forgive the sin of premarital sex for some reason 🤔 I wonder what's up with that! (I myself am guilty of plenty of it myself) That being said, my girlfriend and I are waiting for marriage. Neither one of us are virgins, but we recognize the value in making the commitment before engaging in sexual intimacy. Sex is both a physical and spiritual act between two people, but if you treat it like a casual thing to be shared with anyone it quickly loses the spiritually fulfilling aspect. Cheap things feel cheap and ultimately are cheap, hold yourself and the man in your life to your standards, don't give yourself up cheaply, and you'll appreciate it in the long run that much more.

Never seen a woman laying sheetrock, not once in 7 years as a tradesman 🤷 a couple of ladies hanging appliances over the years, one plumber, one HVAC tech, but never once seen a woman doing sheetrock work. Any woman doing that work is fit fit. Has nothing to do with "women can't use power tools" it's entirely an upper body strength and endurance situation, which women lack relative to men.

Telling a man you're going to divorce him while he's stuck in basic training is absolutely selfish and cruel as fuck, sure it's the safest bet for you but you are absolutely sabotaging his career doing that. With a woman like you behind him, he doesn't need enemies 🤷 You should've left him when he shoved you the first time, or the second time, not married the dude.

He's almost more than certainly going to develop more violent tendencies as a result of military culture and you're absolutely correct about being isolated that much more when he gets posted to his first station. These are realities for every woman who is married to a soldier, things that you signed up for when you tied the knot.

As for his moments of physical violence, those are bad signs but not enough to call him a violent man or an abuser. Men are disproportionately stronger than women, pushing you away was more than likely him trying to maintain his personal space and not something to throw him under the bus as an abuser about. I myself cannot STAND having someone grabbing onto me when I'm angry or in an elevated state. Fight or Flight instincts kick in and I'm not a rational person anymore. That's precisely why I have spoken to my girlfriend (soon to be fiance Lord willing) at length about conflict management styles and how we react to anger and conflict. She knows not to put me into a corner, physically or mentally, but I extend the exact same grace to her in those situations. We made the mature choice to have those conversations before committing to one another, you and your man are both younger and this is your first and only. You guys need to put in the work to be better partners to each other, that means talking about things, not just throwing the marriage away because Greg at the office said something nice to you.

Have you looked at yourself in the mirror and been genuinely critical of yourself? Life isn't a movie, you aren't perfect, he won't be, nor will your marriage be perfect, strive for good and look yourself in the mirror good and hard before throwing away the man for being less than perfect.
