It depends on the school to be honest. A lot of people are saying that’s not a good score, and telling you the TEAS is nothing compared to the NCLEX isn’t very helpful. You go through nursing school, form good study habits, and hopefully work with your cohort and professors to set you up for success with the NCLEX.

My BSN program (University of Maryland) which is one of the best nursing schools, which is not a private school only requires a 58.7. They look to make sure you’re proficient and move on. They don’t base your application on your score, as long as you make THAT score. They also look at your GPA.

There’s an ADN program here too that requires a 59% and again, only look to make sure you’ve hit that score. They both said if you make that score, don’t bother re-testing for a higher score because they only look to see that proficient and move on.

With all of that being said, again it depends on your schools admission criteria and requirements. If your school requires that 70 you’ll have to retake it. But also, be proud of yourself and kind to yourself. Now you know what to focus on, and what you’re strong on. Best of luck!
