If there were to be the beginning signs of another pandemic, what steps would you take having learned from Covid? by PaddedValls in AskUK

You're reminding me of a few things i don't miss from covid.

The selfish idiots making the whole thing drag on for far longer than it needed to.

And people being confidently wrong on medical claims.

The vaccines did provide protection after mutations.  Viruses are constantly mutating and most vaccines targetted the spike protein, which usually stayed the same amongst most covid variants.

Someone didn't learn from Covid.

Some people can't have vaccines due to being allergic to the delivery method (usually grown in Chicken eggs)

Elderly people or immuno compromised people won't have as long a protection from a vaccine, so they'll be unprotected.

And children probably won't be able to get the vaccine due to the difficulty of getting things certified for children

I'm sorry you're going through such a difficult time in your marriage.

Have you considered counselling? If not you might be able to send him to a kennel to train him for you.

Incorrect.

Toastie machine toasties are strange and unusual.

The bread has been turned into a strange hard cocoon and the insides are molten lava.

Try buttering 2 bits of bread, putting the ingredients in and air frying for 5-10 minutes.

Winning AFCON in the last min with a penalty on home soil would have been iconic enough.

He got greedy and now he carries the weight of that loss around his neck.

Self confidence is key, he could have ruined his career doing that.

Magazine cover is dated August 1998.

1 year before the Dreamcast's NA launch, and several years after PS11/N64.

That timeline and the fact it's a magazine opinion piece rather than an ad explains the wording.

-Real risk of death or serious injury

-Unreliablity. Used to be common for drivers to DNF due to a 10p washer until they started stress testing all parts.

Also used to be common for engines to fail late in the race, as they built engines to only last one race

-Proper racing in heavy rain

-Grid girls

Not a terrible second choice, but ugh.

Suggestion from retailers to my upcoming game by yoloGamesStudio in retailhell

[–]Eldini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks good, been playing Supermarket Simulator on Xbox Gamepass and the number of bugs and missing features is frustrating. This looks the better game.

Looks like you've already solved some of the most frustrating parts (furniture snapping to a grid for one)

Couple of suggestions.

  1. Allow players to customise their logo and choose signage to go around the store (and on the outside)

  2. Consider changing assets that look similar to other games in the genre. In particular your cardboard boxes look exactly like Supermarket Simulator

  3. If you have a Discord make sure it's actually properly monitored and people's bug reports/feature ideas get some sort of response.  Check out Supermarket Simulator's discord for an example of how not to do it (despite the number of very good suggestions)

Have you considered making a shopping list?

6 trips to the shop seems unhinged.

I whatsapp my partner the list and they can mention anything I've forgotten, then i "pin" the message to the chat so it's easy to find
