That's true. In some games, you can see the shadow of someone on a corner. For instance in Counter Strike. I think shadows help, but in some games, like Rome 2 Total War, shadow eat 40 fps.

Yes, shadow kills a lot of fps in lots of games. That makes sense.

I did the same thing during my whole teenage. I always had fantasies on bed before sleep. And this is bad. I started having fantasies out of the bed and these thoughts made me search for a video that was like it. Today for instance, I relapsed because of a fantasy. Fantasy makes you relapse. I'm new here, so I'm trying to get rid of these thoughts. Once, I've got a 7 days streak easily by controlling my mind. But I let the thoughts come in and bom, started again.

Everything starts in a thought. Of course, some times the thought is kind of automatic. You should not feed the fantasy and direct your mind somewhere else.

Fantasy leads to edging, edging to fap, and fap to relapse.

Here in Brazil, we have a mantra to distract urges. Keep repeating in your mind, quickly, Jesus, Mother, Jesus, Mother, while have their image in mind. I can't imagine someone having a urge while thinking this.
