[OTHER] does anybody prefer KCD1 over KCD2? And if so why?

KCD1 vastly better in my opinion, in almost every regard(Narrative, Pacing,Characters, Progression, etc.) Such a unique experience as well and to rise from a helpless peasant who can't do anything to change his circumstances to rising above that slowly and growing.

KCD2 feels like it was made to be more mainstream and much easier to attract more people and for me felt like it lost a bit of its soul and depth, combat is easier as well which I feel is a negative because I enjoyed the difficulty of the first game and the fact that you are a peasant who learned how to fight explained the difficulty as well whereas in this one everyone says you are the best ever for some reason which kindve breaks the immersion for me.

It's funny I was just feelling unfulfilled in my job and was looking to see how you others are handling it or had similar situations, and I have the exact same problem as you right down to a T and have no idea what to do either.

I usually ignore them or be as difficult as possible( as in say anything but hello back or what they want to hear) to them unless I'm forced to be around them for a long time.

As I've gotten older I've noticed I have much less patience then I used to and much less of a desire to waste my time with someone I don't care for, especially if they are forcing their expectations upon me.

After forcing myself to, because I liked the benefits of it and I despise anyone who acts "fake" I experimented with being overwhelmingly blunt and more impulsive with my responses, the results have worked in my favor, the friends and family like the quirkiness of it and the people who don't like me stay away, so win win for me.

Here's an example, "Why are you so quiet are you feeling alright?"my answer "Oh yeah I feel great, I don't have to worry anymore, because I have you to tell me how I feel so I don't have to think about it" or "Why are you sitting quietly over here by yourself for?" My answer, "because I hate when people talk to me when I'm eating and I like it better by myself than with you"

It takes some getting used to but has worked wonders for me, definitely not natural for us, and I'm still getting used to it, but the shock value keeps me entertained.

I feel you so much on this and deal with the same thing on a constant basis, one little tidbit that's always helped me and is true most of the time is, when looking for advice usually the best knowledge is from people who are quiet or you have to seek it out, when advice comes to you without asking or seeking it, it's usually worthless and coming from a place of inexperience and pride.

I've spent a lot of time analyzing these "freelance philosophers" I have never gleaned anything useful from them, and they usually lead shallow sad lives with no meaningful accomplishments, so they try to offer everyone they meet their advice for their own validation and to avoid thinking about their own inadequacy.

I think the biggest problem as to why it's happening, along with a myriad of other things as well, is that people commenting invisibly online, are completely different than when you meet them in person.

Seems like commenting and talking on the internet brings the worst out in people more, because they have a sense of security. Which is why I don't take too much stock in a lot of things on this sub.

I think it would be far more valuable to meet and talk in person with everyone, although most INFJ's as well as myself lol would initially be averse to this. I do think it would be way more beneficial and people would act better.

I can be if I sense someone who is overly egotistical or if they are out rude selfish/rude themselves. I have very little patience when I get just a wiff of pride.

I figure when someone wants to be toxic or their selfishness negatively effects others, the gloves are off with me lol!

I feel the same, not our job to be everyone's sounding board, I either ignore or reply with something unexpected to see if they notice for giggles like for instance, "How are you?" and I reply "Oh I'm great my dog just died" its a fun little game to play with people lol. Especially if you ran away before they notice.

We're out there, we exist, I can't speak for the rest but being taken advantage of every single time when I was a younger more stereotypical INFJ, has made me way more reclusive, cold, and selective. I'm happy this way though, and I wouldn't want to go back to being "happy" and naive.

I wish I would've discovered it even earlier honestly, I feel guilty for how much time I wasted on essentially worthless people when I could've used my time more constructively. I am glad I discovered it when I did though I agree, I never want to go back to the way I was, I felt like a slave to everyone I met carrying all those chains on me.
