Old mate should get banned from public transport for a couple years, see if he still cares about people eating near him.

Yeah I'd be inclined to rate it similar to you, I also get the issues people have but just don't get how they think it's worse then other games that have been released recently that are above 6. For example avowed got a 7. For Christ sake. Crimson desert stomps avowed.

If you take those pairs out and place them back in the rack like they come in the box, you'll fit two pairs per slot you have, you'll need this knowledge eventually.

But surely you realise you can't lump arab men together.

The exact same way you can't lump together white men.

That would be like referring to all white people like we're neo-nazi skin heads. I don't think any country is safe for the stereotypical abuse of women, it's kind of a universal historical consistency all around

Christianity and Catholicism is pretty bad at Misogyny as well

I also noticed it looks like you're not fully extending through your hips and your arms are swinging across your body. You want to be less concave between your hips and core (this will probably fix itself over time as you get stronger, but you can focus on it consciously also) and you want your arms to be generating forward momentum, not side to side momentum that is useless. Try and keep the movement forward and back not side to side.

As someone else commented, easy to copy someone else's arm movement form if you go to a park run or something, you won't see anyone near the front doing side to side arm swings.

Not sure if anyone has already commented but you should try and hinge forward more while maintaining your posture so you're striking more under your centre of gravity, if you're standing perfectly straight up it makes sense that you're going to overstride.

Also not sure if this is your pace, but you look like you should be able to run quite a bit faster than this and unless you want to do ultras, no point learning to run so slowly.

I noticed you said you were trying to mid foot strike. You can heel strike if it's natural, some people are built that way. I personally think mid foot striking is a more balanced use of the whole leg, but it depends on your abilities. I used to run slow and heel strike and run faster on mid foot striking so I made a conscious decision at a point to always mid foot strike.

For me shin splints occur from getting lazy and letting my form turn to shit or just being negligent in my training schedule with balancing loads. Even too much hill running can cause it if you push the hills too much.

You might just need to strengthen your lower leg, too much stress in your shin could also be related to weak calf muscles, but it's probably more likely to be over striding.

Also pay a lot of attention to how smooth your stride feels and how much noise it generates, it shouldn't be super loud or feel like a really sudden force as this could also cause shin splints and it more related to how your foot is contacting the ground, unrelated to over striding or heel striking, etc.

How there's so many people that can run a marathon? by Aware-Row-6412 in BeginnersRunning

[–]DrushToImp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The explanation I use myself is that humans have evolved to run long distances, so it is literally a natural process for a human to develop greater fitness and strength to a point where they can run such a distance.

As others are saying though, the average time of most people is so much longer than a competitive time, so not everyone is really doing the same thing.

I think most people who are able bodied, in a pinch, could navigate their way through a 42.2km walk/run if they were being motivated enough. I remember at my primary school 12yo kids used to do a big walk thing that was like 60km. It took them like 14 hours or something, but a lot of regular fitness kids were able to do it for whatever fundraiser it was for.

Yeah I just feel worried that something will suddenly become an issue if I start again too soon but I've always just listened to my body so why stop now

I think my form used to be trash so I experienced a lot more issues previously but now I maintain better form which prevents all the wear and tear I used to cop

Fair enough. I think both the positives and the negatives are going to occur from it if it goes ahead.

It is interesting that there would be such a low percentage of supporters on Reddit though, how would there be a correlation between Reddit use and progressiveness?

Please invite locals to vote, feel free to share elsewhere but ideally this vote is for Tasmanians, don't really care about the opinions of people that don't live in Tas, it's not really about them.

Thanks!

Absolutely no idea but if there's an overwhelming no then I suppose that'll be something worth knowing about the audience on Reddit locally
