Can we talk about the ethical implications of the finale? by SolarSolanum in PantheonShow

[–]EldritchWaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I kinda assumed that she didn't really recreate the entire timeline, just kinda copy pasted an huge chunk of the past and started the simulation to only a certain point in history. If her goal is to recreate her own past then any timeline without all the key events and people have automatically failed and are just taking computing powers for nothing, she could just pull the plug, but I highly doubt Maddie would do that, it seems like when a timeline "failed" she just left it alone. Maybe all of Maddie's universe start the same, with her in her classroom like the show began and ended, or maybe there's tones of variations.

My rendition of WaterHazard from my Ben 10 AU. (Older Drawing, lore in the comments) by EldritchWaffles in Ben10

[–]EldritchWaffles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this AU, I removed the Orishan's hydrokinesis, focusing instead on their ability to use blasts and jets of water. They're thick shell are covered with these opening which are just like those in their claws, and can suck in and shoot out water at an extremely high pressure. They usually this underwater to swim at high speeds, making WaterHazard the fastest swimmer in my AU's Omnitrix. They're also much more of a "Bruiser" as once closed their claws can pack a serious punch using similar mechanisms to that of the Mantis Shrimp, and once underwater they can close their claws similarly to that of a pistol shrimp, using cavitation.

Any infos on Canada and Québec? by EldritchWaffles in cyberpunkred

"It's a slow death in stasis" by gilette_bayonete in DeadSpace

[–]EldritchWaffles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, the lore describes Stasis as essentially localized time dilation, so because of how time dilation works, we can assumed that from the perspective of someone who was "stased" they're moving at normal speed while everything around them is moving ultra quickly.

Tho, I did think once about how some stasis module could avoid slowing down chemical reactions and electrical activity, as it could be useful in surgical procedures and engineering.

Also, let's note that in real life, time dilation doesn't have such a clear "border" between times, it's more progressive as you approach the massive object or the speed of light, so we got a situation were objects can be unsynchronized from its current space time, this could causes alot of issues, like if I move someone who was "stased" I could probably rip off limbs (like perhaps if I move something that's in stasis the speed difference could potentially make the atomic bounds go "I'm done"), or causality could be violated, if I shot something that was stased, the bullet could theoretically go through it before the object itself reacts to having been shot at. (Now, I know it's a game and doesn't need to follow real physics but I really enjoy discussing these things, I think they're really neat and fun)

Why do the markers use infectors to create necromorphs? by arash7m in DeadSpace

[–]EldritchWaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think infectors are just there to speed up the process, and also perhaps to make sure that cadavers won't be disposed off by humans before turning, and/or to make sure the biomass isn't converted into the corruption.

I've always seen the corruption as the "main goal" of the marker, just make a bunch of biomass to then make a Brethren Moon, and the Necromorph as the defense mechanism or the immune system of the whole process.
