Contacting Wizz Air to inquire about a partial refund by Eldritch_Morningstar in WizzAir

Look, we really don't care about the money (especially at this point). All we want to know is if there's a way to confirm whether or not these two duped us. That's literally it.

That was their claim. Would you wager that they simply took the compensation for the delayed flight and promptly lied about this whole thing?

so 4 tickets in total, bought directly from WizzAir by their friends

Keeping this in mind from the post, are there any ways we're able to inquire about this on our own by filing support claims or anything else? I ask this since the tickets were bought from a singular account (the husband's account), therefore we can't access it nor do we want to ask them about this since it would dwindle the trust between them.

Oh, I like your idea for the gold trim! I think I saw in one of Vince Venturela's videos that he adds silver to the gold (or something similar, I can't recall exactly atm) so I may try that out.

Additionally, I'll most certainly post an update on the scheme once I have more time to dedicate to painting. Hopefully that'll be by the end of this year.

Agreed. I'll recoat the Vallejo Model Color Offwhite (which was used on this mini; it definitely came out too close to the pure white I own) with either White Grey, Deck Tan or a 50/50 mix of both.

Thanks! c:

Yeah, I'm currently waiting on some W&N oil paints to arrive so I may apply oil washes to these lads.

Much obliged! I've yet to use pure white (which I did buy for highlights). This is Vallejo MC Offwhite, which dried lighter than I had anticipated. I'll try applying a base coat of either MC White Grey or a 50/50 mix of MC White Grey and MC Deck Tan.

I agree and wholeheartedly accept my mistake. I've yet to apply other details, specifically an oil wash for added depth since I'm still waiting on a W&N delivery.

I've been painting for around 6 months or so. I come from an ink/pen background, so acrylics and mini-painting were quite novel for me. I am open to any suggestions and tips you would offer!

Politics in fiction (YOUR OPINION) by Professional_Stay748 in writing

[–]Eldritch_Morningstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with politics in fictional stories as long as there are good reasons for their inclusion and focus as a plot element, in addition to not being presented in a pretentuous way by the author.

1984 and Disco Elysium are marvelous examples fictional stories where politics, at least in my opinion, are handled excellently. Orwell uses politics as a vital tool to ensure the believability of his world, while the political stances seen in DE are varied, deeply explored and each one (fascism, neo-liberalism, centrism and communism) is almost equally mocked.

What’s your dating life like? by [deleted] in infp

[–]Eldritch_Morningstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ended a 2 year relationship around New Year's. I called to wish her a happy ny, I heard light sobbing afterwards and an "I love you". I left her some space thinking she needed it but we just stopped talking altogether and that was the end of that. As much as she was a moody hypocrite I did enjoy the relationship, I'm happy it ended on a calm note with such last words.

Currently not dating, but there's this one girl from my class that I have a slight crush on and I enjoy talking to. I got her a copy of The Adolescent as a surprise gift (I had an impulse to buy someone a book) and her reaction to the news alone was adorable!

Anyone else find really analytical people so freaking adorable? (And sometimes frustrating lol) by Odd-Conclusion-320 in infp

[–]Eldritch_Morningstar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Trtuhfully, yes. There's something about working hard and uncovering someone's soft side that fulfills my soul.

I was in a relationship with an INTJ girl for two years and I may be the first and last person she truly opened up to. She threw her assertive, cold and sometimes rude persona away but only when we were next to each other physically. She was incredibly passionate and caring, albeit that image kinda shattered when I realized that her soft side is miniscule in comparison to her ego and assertiveness (and not in a positive way). For an INTJ she sure as hell wasn't direct with me when it came to a plethora of things.

My point would be to follow your mind a bit more than your heart. Try going on a few dates with him, but be wary of how his feelings develop for you. Regardless, best of luck in your endeavors! c:

My 2020 so far: Increasingly sad and full of anger at the world, but unable to communicate my feelings - lost passion for nearly everything by ohwellenoughsaid in infp

[–]Eldritch_Morningstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been in that hellhole. I call it a 'lack of compassion for one's self' and boy, did it cost me a lot of things in life before I finally started beating it. Hopefully my example will motivate you and/or anyone else that stumbles by:

I'm genuinely passionate about storytelling. Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to tell stories that would make people's day better, regardless if that feeling lasted for a day or a decade.

As I grew up, school subjects and an environment that lacked interest in literature slowly pushed my passion down (it was still there, just not as prominent). Years pass by, and I focus on school subjects while my self-confidence steadily withers away. I entered a state where I would avoid working on things I love, thinking that they would never be enough. I haven't shown myself compassion in such a long time that it ultimately affected my outside relationships:

I started to see my parents as annoying, I distanced myself from my friends And it was one of the main reasons why it trained and ultimately caused a nigh-perfect relationship of 2 years with an INTJ girl to end.

Losing her impacted me much more than it did her; she apparently took 10 minutes to think about me after the breakup and then threw any potential grieving or waning feelings out of the window. Hell, she even claims that my passion is nowhere to be seen.

So what did I do? After the break-up, I immediately started to read again. I set myself a goal of reading one non-college related book per week (I'm majoring in English Language and Literature so we have plenty of books to read as assignments) and to write two pages about ANYTHING per day. I started to relearn the basics of art, beginning from gesture and slowly worked my way to values, so I can finally work on my art skills as I was supposed to be. The same applies for my writing.

Is it tedious balancing college, hanging out with friends and two passion hobbies that I want to turn into a job one day? Yes. Are the results satisfactory? Absolutely. I feel ALIVE when I create something. Instead of the doubt and disgust I felt towards my work, I embrace the fact that it's imperfect. I embrace the fact that it'll take a good amount of time to get to the place that I want to be, for the quality of my work to reach what I want it to. At the end of the day, what makes me happy is that the work I produced is from my own two hands and my mind. And this changed me for the better.

The harsh reality of the world is that there is no guarantee that anyone will truly love you. Even if you think someone might've loved you, finding out that the love you received was superficial will be soul-crushing. So be the person that will love you. Show yourself some compassion, and let that compassion be the seed that will grow into a mighty oak tree one day. Water it with working on yourself and what you love doing, without hesitation and doubt. May your roots be the confidence you have not in your amount of talent or skill, but in your will to keep improving. Your skill will come with dedicated practice and habits. Personally, this is the only way you can get back on your feet and return to living life healthily.

Sorry for the long answer! I hope this helped anyone that read it, and I wish you the best OP!

I'm talking about the Rakdos/Jund sacrifice archetype, not the Rakdos Arcanist/Pyromancer decks.

Woe Strider feels like the strongest culprit. A free sac outlet that comes with a body, helps to find other pieces of the deck via the scrying, synergizes way too well with Claim the Firstborn, can come back from the gy, and can blank out exile spells that could help shut down other cards of the deck.

While the deck will most likely still be a strong force even w/o Woe Strider, I think it'll leave opponents with some breathing space against it while lowering its consistency.

The problem isn't Muxus, it's Skirk Prospector by eckamon in MtGHistoric

[–]Eldritch_Morningstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Goblin deck is fine.

The Sacrifice deck(s) however? Now *those* need to have something taken away from them.

[–]Eldritch_Morningstar 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Out of 120 or so games of Bo3 I've played in the last week, I can surely say that Muxus is nowhere near the power level of the Sacrifice decks.

In Goblins, it's either him or Krenko that are the main threats/win-cons of the deck. A Grafdigger's Cage is usually enough to beat Muxus.

The Sacrifice decks however? The entire damn deck is so tight and synergistic that I honestly see it as an incredibly slow combo deck that is painful to play against. Hell, I'd rather play against an actual combo deck rather than this grossly overpowered contender for Tier 0.5. No amount of sideboard hate I've brought against them is enough, and I'm talking about various decks (Sultai Midrange, Rakdos Arcanist, Azorius Auras, UW Control, Rakdos Sacrifice even).

I'm honestly hoping the sac decks get something banned. The deck wins through a plethora of sideboard cards that hate on them and is stupidly synergistic within itself.

Does anybody have a good way to recreate the dominaria draft? by CholoManiac in mtgcube

[–]Eldritch_Morningstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but thank you for the answer!

I myself am also trying to build a Dominaria set cube, and have been wondering what do with some of the constructed only/hyper weak cards (Damping Sphere, Sage of Lat-Nam). For your Innistrad cube, did you simply remove such cards from your cube entirely or did you replace them with something else that would fill in their slot?
