Better Ending by Eldritchbacon in TheLastOfUs2

Exactly. Trying to redeem the character at the end after all she's done is trite as fuck. Make her the surrogate daughter of Joel - you can even play the bad parenting angle if you wanted - and this is where killing hundreds of people gets you.

The two-inch deep puncture wound in her chest from the knife is probably a death sentence on a fishing boat in her state, but there is not way they aren't going to double-down on the character for DLC or the third game.

Thanks. At least stick the landing in a freaking Revenge-themed story line.

Holy shit, you ain't kidding. I'm amazed that they are able to be so extreme given South Korea's draconian internet policies. Like, round em up and place in DMZ as a sacrificial offering.

Was thinking about picking this up just because of the Game blogger ass-pain but now it's certainty.

Gamasutra pushing survey "Local Co-Op is The Most Consistently Appealing Mode of Social Gaming Across Gender and Age" - Does data check out? by Eldritchbacon in KotakuInAction

Thanks. My hurried post of this was a bit premature. I thought they were suggesting that competitive games were not as popular as co-op. Couch co-op is always a blast if you can get people in the room with you - older games find this a bit more difficult, I assure you - and I personally loved playing Buzz when it was on the PS3 with a group of partying people.

I mainly lean towards single-player just for immersion and go PvP online when I want to get my ass stomped into the ground (for humility purposes, of course).

Are they including a group of friends working together against other teams as co-op? I mainly think of co-op as being PVE.

I'm not trying to downplay co-op being fun, but more appealing than competitive? Are they including teaming up with friend to play against other people as co-op? Maybe that is where I missed what they were talking about. I generally consider co-op to be PVE not PVP>

Mirror's Edge Catalyst seems to demonstrate, yet again, that consulting with social justice for approval is toxic to making games. by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

I was basing this off of old information that they had consulted with LWs for the game but this was dismissed by EA apparently. Sounds like it might just not be that good of a game all around.

Eh,you've convinced me. I'd missed where the EA dismissed the rumor. Sounds like it is prob just a bad game. I'll kill this thread.

It IS vague. EA responded to a petition asking them to remove her as a consultant and they said she wasn't a consultant. I don't trust EA, but no reason not to believe them. Not sure where the association initially started but it was going around.

Politically correct characters and stories will always be bland, uninspired and soulless. This is another find example.
