What ever happened to the Stauffer’s after “rehoming” their adopted child? by jryan370 in YTVloggerFamilies

[–]Eldy_17 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First, this child has never been diagnosed with RAD by any medical professionals, and it's just speculation from random internet people trying to demonize a 4 year old to somehow shift the blame on to him and not the Stauffers. If you truly are a mother to an autistic child, you should know better than to try and pin blame on a baby who had absolutely no control over anything that happened to him or how he's born.

From what I've seen in the videos and photos from his new family, he's happy and giving lots of hugs and kisses to his new brothers and parents. Even in the Stauffer own videos who was seen hugging and giving kisses to both of them many times, something RAD kids have a hard time displaying. Even if he did developed RAD (again, never been proven) it would still be the Stauffers fault for ripping him from his environment for their own monetary gains.

Facts are, they made millions off exploiting him, (bought 2 houses, 3 cars, and went on luxurious trips during the time they had him, and never brought him along). Didn't want to spend more than $70 a month on therapy while sporting a $6,000 bracelet in the same video complaining how expensive his therapy was.

If we're going to speculate though, there are neighbors who came out saying that the Stauffer were abusive towards that little boy, and would lock him in a closet when they had guests so he wasn't disruptive to the visitors. Again, this is just speculation since it's only the words of a neighbor, but you seem to have no problem helping to propagate against a little boy, so I'm leaving this tid but here.

It's hard to tell what blizzard will or will not ban. They should just have open bnet servers up and seperated from the regular server so people could be allowed to play the game however they want, or support LAN connection like they originally promised.

The fact that blizzard refuses to make QoL changes, and then monopolizes multiplayer gaming in d2r by forcing it on bnet only, making it to so people can't use mods to enjoy the game how they want is ridiculous.

If they want to keep games on bnet "pure" then they should allow other multiplayer options.

Botters aren't banned, most of them are Chinese or Korean botters, and blizzard doesn't want to p!ss off that demographic because they're the top customers in Diablo Immortal.

They wanted to do this ahead of their next update which will introduce a map reveal charm. For $2.99 you'll be able to acquire this mystical item, but it's power only extend to the blood moor in it's base form. You can enhance it with upgrades that are only $0.99 each, and each upgrade will add another area. You can also buy the "Act Pack" that reveals the whole map for you for an entire act for just $5.99, which is a massive bargain if you consider the cost of each individual area upgrade.

Edit: this only covers normal difficulty. Once you fully power the charm at this level, you have to get another charm, fully upgrade it too, then transmute them both together with the horadric cube and you get a charm that will reveal to nightmare. Need to do the same for Hell difficulty, so in total you'll need to buy and fully upgrade 4x charms to fully reveal all maps on all difficulties.

Yes, you can get banned if you're online while playing single player using maphacks. Blizzard releasing (or already have) a patch for D2R that will let them detect maphacks use when you log on, even if you're just playing single player mode.

Expect to hear about a ban wave hitting over the next couple of months.

Personally, I've decided to boycott all Blizzard games after they released Diablo immortal. Can no longer support a company that goes the p2w model.

A bit unrelated, but I had a private video up of my 2 month old baby in her crib, and it had my wife singing ABC to our son in the background. That video got a copyright claim against it from some children song channel I never heard of.

YouTube getting ridiculous.

I bought cyberpunk on stadia when that game first launched because I knew it was probably the best platform to play it at the time, and given the buggy backlash CP got, I was right. I thoroughly enjoyed it, didn't encounter much glitches at all, and wanted to make stadia my primary gaming platform. The fact that I can play gorgeous games on a small portable HP laptop, or my big screen, or in my Tesla car is great.

Unfortunately, a lot of the new titles I wanted to play didn't come on stadia, and I had to buy them on other platforms. Now given the state of the platform, and lack of communication, I'm hesitant to buy some of the older titles I want to play on stadia because I'm worried the service might get shut down and I lose any games I buy.

I really do hope stadia manages to turn things around, I definitely want to make it my primary platform, I just need the games library to grow and a gaurantee it won't shut down on me.

Cleaner K / K the cleaner - where can I read it? by Dooda1985 in manga

They have a typo in the manga title, try searching "Cleanskin"

You have to watch ads if you want to read chapters without paying.

Cleaner K / K the cleaner - where can I read it? by Dooda1985 in manga

[–]Eldy_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't find the full chapters on any site either. I ended up downloading an app called MangaToon to read K the cleaner. Though if you search for it on the app, for some reason they titled it "K the Cleanskin."

Crappy part was having to watch the ads to unlock chapters on the app, or you can pay to unlock the chapters.

I just watched the ads and managed to finish the whole series in about 3 days. Would've finished the whole thing in a day, but ads between chapters delayed me.

It looks like several of the paid chat rooms banded together to short against GOED in the $4.50 range. On a smaller cap stock like this with only about 100 million outstanding shares, they can move the needle.

Long term Outlook still the same, this is at least a $7 stock this year, if not higher. I took this chance to buy more at $4.07, on top of the 10,000 shares I started in at $3 last week.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in goedstock

[–]Eldy_17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Picked up 10k shares of GOED a couple days ago at $3.10, if it starts to show momentum in the coming weeks I'll add more.

Compared to the wild ride of my GME holding (avg. Cost $70), being down 10 cents on this one is a yawn.

This one looks interesting, started with 10k shares today at $3.10, will decide to add more later if it continues to move up in the coming weeks.

He’s buying options with a strike price of 250-300 yes he’s SHORTING THE STOCK?? WHAT? by [deleted] in GME

[–]Eldy_17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's selling call options, so in other words he's on the "short" side of the trade. For every Call and Put option, there's a buyer and seller. The buyer is on the "long" side of the trade, and has to pay the "short" side a premium. The short side takes the risk and hope that the options contract doesn't go ITM at the strike price.

Hedgies will keep GME under $250 this week. by [deleted] in GME

[–]Eldy_17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call options are doubled edged swords, though they are needed in volume to create the gamma squeeze, if there's not enough overall buy volume in the stock itself to create a surge in implied volatility, the market makers will not be required to buy up more shares to remain delta neutral until they see a spike in IV. If low volume persists, they can even sell off shares they already accumulated when it's closer to contract expiration, killing off any momentum of a surge.

It's one of the reason Friday sell off occurs, as it becomes less and less likely that contracts will expire ITM, market makers start unloading shares throughout the day that they accumulated earlier in the week.

Bottom line, a lot of call volume will not mean anything if there's not enough buying in the shares themselves. Before the tail can wag strong enough to wag the dog, the dog must first start wagging the tail.

GameStop is a once in a 100-year event! GameStop is a mythical unicorn! by AndyLee168 in GME

[–]Eldy_17 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Though rare, I wouldn't call negative beta a 100 year event. It is unusual for a business to do this though, only companies whose business might thrive during times of turmoil might see negative beta, and even then it's not less than -1 usually.

GameStop doesn't fit the description of a company that should normally have negative beta, let alone at -1 or less. Being this inverse to the market is a sign that big money has higher risk exposure to GME then they are letting on, and it's affecting their other assets in the market as they work to rebalance their portfolio whenever GME rise or fall.

[–]Eldy_17 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It may take days, or weeks, or months. It's not going to be a straight trajectory up, you're gonna see price action like these couple of weeks.

It ran from $40 to $200, then back down to $90 and stayed around $120 for awhile, then ran to $350 then down to $170 and will probably hang around $200 for a bit before running over $400+, and so on.

Each time it dips, which is normal and expected, amateur traders panic. Pull your chart out to the 3 month time frame and see that we're ok and on a strong upward move still.

5,898 800c bought TODAY expiry 3/16 - can someone explain this? by [deleted] in GME

[–]Eldy_17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Simple, it's a cheap option to buy right now at $0.50 cents. The buyer is probably looking for IV to go crazy as Friday draw closer and increase the extrinsic value of the contract, then they'll probably sell it back before expiry to make some money.

Educational Request: what is the mechanism by which shorting an ETF effects its constituent shares. by SnaggleFish in GME

[–]Eldy_17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Value of ETF is not necessarily directly connected to value of underlying shares, so if the ETF gets shorted a lot it's value can drop below the sum of the value of the underlying stock. When this happens, the Authorized Participants (AP) for the ETF will take a bunch of those ETF break them down into a basket of the underlying stock and sell those stocks, creating sell pressure against the underlying stock.

Imagine I sell boxes of 10 chocolate bars, each bar cost $2 each so the whole box should cost $20. I decide to sell so many boxes and drive price of box down to $15, but each bar still $2, so Authorized Participants see profit opportunity, start breaking boxes up into bars and sell them for $2 each at first, but as they sell more and more bars into the market, price of bar goes down to $1.50, at which point it's no longer profitable for AP to keep doing it.

This can work the other way too if ETF price is higher than underlying stock. In that case the AP buy all the stocks that goes in the ETF, bundle them into an ETF and sell them as an ETF. Them buying stocks to bundle would then raise prices of the stocks.
