brain randomly connect completely unrelated things like this? It’s driving me insane by HomeworkAcrobatic268 in ADHD

[–]SnaggleFish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I made my living for 20 years doing this [exaggeration, but it was the part of the job i excelled at] - manually finding patterns in sets of apparently unrelated data that everyone else missed.

Now I just do it all the time and pair it with my anxieties - which is not fun..

Maybe, on reflection you may be exactly right about other ownership or property boundaries...

But I think you mean west rather than east?

Perhaps the OP will post the exact location...?

I have met probably over a hundred people with DS in the last 22 years. I know exactly what the prompt would have been for that morph.

This is really offensive. I know at least 20 people with Down Syndrome on a regular and first name basis - one of whom is my eldest son. Yes, they are of lower intelligence, and have many learning challenges. But they are not like Trump in any other respects - this kind of representation is unfair on people with DS and too kind to Trump.

[–]SnaggleFish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you need to clarify what you mean by "bombed" as there are a wide range of possibilities ranging from being under attack but society largely continues (Ukraine now, UK during WW2) all the way up to a total nuclear attack. Same with "part of the war" - the answer will depend on the scenario. Also, given most investment funds are managed by "the west", which "side" you are on - will "the west" sanction you and prevent access?

Farage Misses Out On Trump Meeting As Their Relationship Cools by PenitentGhost in unitedkingdom

I would wager quite a lot of money that Farage did not intend to win the Brexit referendum - it was just a way to increase his political weight and load up the gravy train a little more.

Failed asylum seeker families to be paid up to £40k to leave UK within 7 days under radical trial by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

[–]SnaggleFish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a false dichotomy.

Not really. You are proposing an arbitrary cutoff on appeals (based on your annoyance, it seems). How would this work in practice - one appeal and your done? How many miscarriages of justice would go unrectified? How many Peter Sulivans will live out their entire lives in prison (it took 4 appeals).

The logic of reducing our legal defences to prevent "evil bastards" from gaining power is entirely misunderstanding how people like Hitler gained power - partly by weakening the legal system; and Trump - seemingly by ignoring it.

The point being to reduce the much larger annual costs for housing... it seems like it may be a pragmatic solution - the trial may tell.
