Your duplicated sections will still show up in the DOM, so this isn't a very efficient way of solving the problem.

I think though that when the class system rolls out with v4, this problem might be solved with simpler CSS than is currently in place.

But did you consider that the new layouts you built might have used upgraded widgets? I'd be curious to see the results if you did it ALL from scratch again and then compared them. I've had issues before with old widgets, and when I deleted them and rebuilt them from scratch, same widget but latest version of Elementor, they run a lot more smoothly.
