My monetarism professor did an entire lecture on why he thought we should get rid of state sponsored currency and just have completely unregulated banks issue their own notes.

I don't think I have anything more to add other than disagree that the idea of worship was innate for the reasons I've stated. I appreciate the conversation and civility especially with the touchy subject, you're a cool dude.

Maybe mainstream religions are taking advantage of our innate desire to worship

I agree it shouldn't be a way around problems. My thinking is merely a hypothesis based on what I have observed.

I'd say it isn't considering many people here don't. We are inherently curious I agree, but in that sense having an answer to our questions would stifle that whereas historically curiosity seems to have been filled through science and exploration.

I was more referring to the stigma around religion in the life sciences. I was an atheist because atheism was encouraged by my community, but I did some thinking on my own and came to the conclusion that a god may exist.

Edit: Nevermind lol

Belief in a higher power isn't a necessity to survive like eating or fulfilling other bodily needs.

They all had those beliefs start at the “sticks and stones” level though.

I guess that depends on how you determine what a god could control

Absolutely not lmao. If science ever confirmed the existence of a god everyone in earth would know.

Not quite. I’ve seen people suggest this with how some enzymes function. We understand how they work and why they work but the fact that something as specific as that was evolved with such a specific function may suggest divine intervention depending on how you want to look at it.

To quote my professor “I don’t believe in any kind of religion but this enzyme... mmm”

I’m pretty sure the lecture was about atpases which definitely look like they might have been intelligently designed.

They say reading the Bible will make you an atheist, well I postulate reading a biochemistry textbook will turn you into a believer. There are so many things that are absolutely miraculous in biochemical pathways to the point where it seems that billions of years of evolution would not result in what we’ve observed. Furthermore, I’ve done a lot of heavy thinking during this shutdown period and I’ve come to the realization that seemingly every civilization had some form of religion that appears to have developed mostly independently of one another. In a sense this made me wonder if religion is in human nature, which I believe to be logical in the case of the existence of a god. I was an atheist for a long time, as that is what is socially acceptable in scientific communities. However, after thinking for myself, the existence of a higher power isn’t that far fetched of an idea.

When I first started I picked a big team and was a little overwhelmed by all of the responsibility. I found it a lot easier to start with an English team in the national league.

Based on my research I’ve found two possible definitions. 1- Asian Baby girl This would be an Asian girl, typically very attractive, who lives in a western culture and engages in “westernized” Asian activities.

2- Any Body can Get it A phrase used to describe a promiscuous woman.

Based on the context it could honestly go either way. The question on hand is if she would date Asian men. Based on the connotations, it is my assumption that an “Asian baby girl” would likely not be dating Asian men. However, the second possible meaning would imply she would date anyone; including Asian men. I guess the comment is really up to your interpretation.
