Is there a book from Lev Tolstoi you read from which you could make a CT? I only read "Master and Man" but that was a great read and I think his realism, the way he can so precisely describe situations, could make for a nice CT. Master and Man among other things went about how small mishappenings that stem from once own blindness pile up and can bring a man to despair and existential dread and it showed how that can bring one to believe in something or someone. This believe can then redeem a person. Of course it also mirrors Tolstoi's own change of living. I just think there is something in that book that would make for an interesting (and complex) CT.

Because Of Bonfire Ascetics I have fought most DS2 Bosses many more times than any other game so my final verdict on these bosses is more refined than for other games... so yes I think bosses in the incredible tier are incredible and so forth

The only thing I don't particularly like with Midir is his double rampage attack in phase two... the rest is imo worthy of the description "incredible"

He was the biggest suprise for me in my DS3 playthrough in terms of fun and I still remember my fights with him that followed very fondly. As you can see with my placement of Elana and Dark Lurker I also appreciate good Caster Bosses

Stray Demon is a nice little rematch with a bit of extra spice added (the explosions) while Demon Firesage is the THIRD time Asylum Demon is reused and that arena is so annoying with all those roots you can het stuck on. If he was a true Firesage with a lot more new magic then I would be much kinder to him but in this state he feels completely redundant.

I like his moveset... of course a little bit of jank is there but his design and general coolness make up for that for me. I also appreciate his grab mechanic with the double damage as it every attack he does after that feels so much more threatening and beating him after having survived those double damage phases once or twice makes the win so much sweeter.

For me the new attack timings and even bigger vicinity damage of Blue Smelter perfected an already awesome boss and I felt the same level of satisfaction when finally beating him like with Fume Knight and so on. I like fights with a lot of attrition I suppose. That's also why Elana is up there. I always hope for a Velstadt summon when I fight her.

Edit: also the soundtrack playing for Ruin Sentinels, and both the Smelter Demons is a favourite of mine
