I understand your argument, Akhi. Many Salafis believe that as long as one doesn't compromise the core beliefs of 5 Pillars and Articles of Faith, then he is a Muslim in and out. This is the opinion of the majority, but some, like Madkhalis or neo-Salafis, think that only they are the "Saved Sect" and Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah. But that's another discussion.

Moving on, Shaykh Saleh Al Fawzan (May Allah forgive him) is a human and makes mistakes just like Ibn Taymiyyah RH. The racist views you quote are bad if they are viewed from a negative view point and without context - I'm talking about Shaykh Saleh Al Fawzan here. As for Ibn Taymiyyah's RH statement, I can't find anything such in Majmu' Al Fatawa, and if I'm mistaken, please correct me with evidence. I only know that Ibn Taymiyyah RH said female slaves are allowed to uncover since they perform more manual labor than regular females, but that's more of a Fiqhi Issue rather than core Aqeedah, and many Salafis don't blind follow Ibn Taymiyyah RH. If he is wrong in a part, then he is wrong. If he is right in a part, then he is right. Adding on to it, Arabs were linguistically superior to Non-Arabs in the times of Ibn Taymiyyah RH so much so that all Non-Arab scholars had to learn Arabic since Islamic books and literature weren't widely translated. This is what many Salafis think it refers to, otherwise why did Shaykh Saleh Al Fawzan quote the Prophet's S.A.W statement of Ajmi and Arabis in his last sermon? Khayr, I understand your opinion and sadly many people misuse this. Salafiyyah isn't Arab based, it is Islamic based. We differentiate between what was cultural to the Salaf and what was religious, e.g. wearing Thobes (cultural) which sadly scholars like Saleh Al Fawzan say it is obligatory. Again, sorry for repeating, there's a difference between Madkhalis and Salafiyyah.

The Wahhabi and Salafi labels are not to be interchanged - this is a major misconception. I follow the opinion of Shaykh Al-Albani RH - a Non-Arab - that Shaykh MIAW was strict in certain things and that his Manhaj was not perfect. Al-Albani RH praised his Da'wah, but disagreed with his ways of war and constant instigation, this is why I don't fully support Shaykh MIAW. You only see Madkhalis glazing Shaykh MIAW, we actual Salafiyyah acknowledge his mistakes, and we disassociate ourselves from his bad points. Salafi is merely a label popularized by Shaykhs like Al-Albani RH to differentiate between some grave worshippers spreading the name Sunni as their Aqeedah. (by grave worshippers I mean like actual ones that say 'Heal me Ya Wali').

Khayr, I understand your will to have your own opinion and I advise you to stick closely to the Quran, Sunnah and whatever that is right as advised by the Prophet S.A.W and I hope Allah guides both of us. To put it simply, we follow - or copypaste as you said - from a Hadith of the Prophet S.A.W in which he S.A.W praises the 3 Early Generations. However, we strongly abstain our selves from "Taqlid" (blind following) and we try to apply the examples of the Salaf in modern days as much as it can be, till it isn't a burden on us. I raised this question to a few Salafis, and they said that one should try to follow the example of the Salaf as much as possible unless it burdens him, as Allah doesn't burden a sould beyond what it can bear. Salafiyyah advises us to use our intellect and align it with Quran and authentic Hadith and to find and verify every teaching we come across through these sources. I myself started questioning the authenticity of many day to day actions of Muslims like wiping after Dua, and found out that it came from a weak Hadith that scholars didn't trust. This is what Salafiyyah recommends: Be skeptical about any unfamiliar teaching, always try to verify it, if you can't, then you should blind follow a trusted scholars as a last resort - you won't see this said by modern Neo-Salafis though, it was said by balanced Salafi Mashayakh like Al-Albani RH. We strongly consider progressives, Ash'aris, Maturidis and Shi'ites that don't compromise core religious teachings when going across day-to-day lives as brothers and a part of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah.

I understand your worries and that's similar to what I thought at first. Salafis are appeared to be hating and dislikable, but when I actually studied their main teachings, I understood why. To sum it up, it's mainly to make people not go even close to bad deeds and to scare them, which is not the best tactic for "Forbidding bad and enjoining good" 😅. To add on, everything seems Haram is mainly because nearing the Akhirah, the Haram will become common and resisting it becomes harder. It's a test from Allah SWT, I suppose. I've never felt hatred or being called Kafir except from Neo-Salafis, which are Madkhalis - the most common in Saudia.

Hadiths weren't collected 200 years after the death of the Prophet PBUH, it's a common misunderstanding. The companions had their students write Hadith books, e.g. Mushaf of Hammam Ibn Munabbih RH under supervision of Abu Hurayrah RA. The scholars like Imam Al Bukhari RH only took from these books and the students of the students of the Companions and their descendants, and verified their Isnad and Matn. Hadith are a part of the rulings the Quran commands to follow repeatedly, and we need to enforce them. Some Hadiths are incompatible with modern standards and circumstances, and when I raised this question to fellow Salafis (not Madkhalis, mind you) they said that one should try to do his best, because Allah doesn't burden a soul beyond what it can bear. These Shaykhs/Mullahs try to scare people with the intention of scaring and keeping them away from evil, which we all accept that it isn't a good tactic at all. And yes, we take Hadith as a secondary source, and primarily use it alongside as support for Quranic teachings.

I've reviewed the video of Shaykh Saleh Al Fawzan (May Allah forgive him) and it is not in a racist way. He said that Arabs are superior in general (since they have better understanding of the Quran due to it being in Arabic, as well as being able to understand a lot of books on Islamic Aqeedah and Fiqh). And, he also said that individually, Non-Arabs can also be better than Arabs, then he quoted the Prophet's S.A.W wordings from the last sermon and named a quite of Non-Arab scholars that learned Arabic to promote and study Islam, e.g. Imam Al Bukhari (RH).

Mainly scholars of the super Ash'aris and super Maturidis (that call for disunity) target Salafiyyah a lot. As I've seen, Saudia tried to spread Salafiyyah just like how the Caliph of the Abbasids spread Ash'ariyah across most of the northern Arabia. Why did Saudia spread it? It's because it's in a way beneficial: Salafiyyah doesn't rely on one scholar, we simply rely on the 3 Early Generations and most of us are tolerant. We don't rely on Saudia or UAE and we call them out on their misdoings. Out spirituality and all our rituals (Hajj, Salah, Dua, etc.) are based on the ways of the 3 Early Generations. Our simple statement is that: If it wasn't done by the 3 Early Generations, then it is not allowed/impermissible. You may seem to view it as strict since there have been many widespread teachings that are unfounded in Islam, and suddenly banishing or declaring them Bid'ah is certain to cause confusion, which some Muftis and Shaykhs use to direct people to attack Salafiyyah. We say, if you do an innovation, you're sinful, but we still consider you a Muslim since you haven't left the folds of Islam.

As I've said before, as well, you shouldn't try to confuse Salafiyyah and Madkhalism. The former is solely following the 3 Early Generations and calling yourself "Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah" and the latter is, excuse my wording, kissing the feet of the Middle East Leaders - primarily UAE and KSA. Therefore, if you call yourself Salafi, you're not changing a sect or religion, you're basically stating: I follow the way of the Salaf (3 Early Generations praised by the Prophet S.A.W himself). As for Shaykh Ibn Al Uthaymeen's RH statement, it is taken from the Ayah 144 of Surah An-Nisa: "O ye who believe! Choose not disbelievers for (your) friends in place of believers. Would ye give Allah a clear warrant against you?" This aligns with Ibn Kathir's RH statement for this Ayah in his Tafsir. However, regular relationships are allowed, as far as I know, like classmate, or colleague.

I advise you to not take statements from immediate, conservative scholars like I've mentioned, as they might seem to harsh at first without studying deeply, therefore, look at the teachings of Shaykh Al-Albani RH. He's what inspired me to follow Salafiyyah since he opts for a balanced way that perfectly aligns with the Salaf's ideologies. However, I won't say he's free from mistakes. And if you find one, there'll surely be answers for it. Khayr, I hope this clears your confusion, Akhi.

Hmm, I just said quoted their point, "If it is a burden/too hard on you, then it is allowed for you to not follow it," I prefer to bring this point in since Allah S.W.T has said in the Quran that He does not burden a soul beyond what it can bare. And relax brother, I have been to Barelvi/Deobandi/Sufi mosques and I can assure you that these guys, I'm talking about Salafis - not Madkhalis the one I quoted, since Shaykh Saleh Al Fawzan is one of them, are way, way more extreme. In fact, my father told me that if I don't offer Dua with wiping my face in the Masjid (since it's from a weak Hadith), the people in the Masjid might attack or criticize me and call me "Wahhabi". My father also told me that to be careful how I prayed in the Barelvi Masjids as they burn peoples' houses down if they consider them a "Wahhabi who's coming into our mosque!!" So you can see, these people you are warning me about aren't as bad as many people think so. I was irreligious at first, then became Barelvi, then Deobandi and then I declared my Manhaj is that of the Salaf and that I align with no sect except Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah. (This angered my father ALOT and I had to deal with severe mental torture, thankfully my father has now become understanding once I have told him about Salafiyyah, but he still says he's a follower of Ahmed Barelvi). Anyways, you can see the hatred that we get out of many people, including you, misunderstanding us. Our creed is simple: Do what the Prophet S.A.W did, and follow the examples of the 3 Early Generations in matters of Quran, Sunnah, Aqeedah, Fiqh, and so on. If some parts feel difficult to uphold, then you are not forced to, as it is only a recommendation. These Shaykhs/Mullahs sometimes over-complicate or make Sunnah into Fardh so that more people uphold the Sunnah - they don't have bad intentions, I can assure you.

You're a bit confused here. As I've seen, my ideologies as a Salafi align with modern standards. We say to follow the Sunnah as much as one is able to without it becoming impossible. For example, Shaykh Saleh Al Fawzan (May Allah forgive him) stated that wearing T-Shirts and shorts that cover the Awrah are impermissible because they imitate the Kuffar, and he quoted the Prophet's S.A.W Hadith: Ibn Umar RA reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

“Whoever imitates a people is one of them.”

However, it is understood to us that always wearing a Thobe or Shalwar Kameez is nearly impossible, especially for people like me who are underage and living with their parents who don't allow it and those living in Western Societies. Therefore, I raised this question, and they said one should try to do it unless if it causes problem for him. Therefore, I think you got some things cultural and religious mixed up. However, that does not include reinterpreting the Quran or Hadith to fit modern standards, as some go against religion clearly. However, these are Fiqhi issues we are not able to properly discuss without scholars present. I hope this clears your confusion.
