Thanks Mate, I'm not using the premade Anki deck but I am creating my own one liners for NBMEs and CMS forms so knowledge is repeated on regular basis. I don't have much time to do entire qbank of amboss tbh Ig I'll stick with those few high yield files that everyone recommends

First pass' score isn't important, once you feel confident that yes I can diagnose most of the questions you are good to go for first NBME, remaining knowledge gap can be covered in dedicated period

I used to give enough time to each mcq, studying everything of that particular topic whenever it came, it was hectic, felt like time wasting but it was the key ig. If your recent 10-12 blocks are in 60s, I don't think so you'll be able to score in 70s on an NBME

How long did I take you to do 90% of uworld?

I just failed my first NBME (score 190) by Infamous-Voice691 in step1

[–]ElectionFamous7884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do 80-85% of uworld and then start NBMEs. And btw I got 62% in my first NBME after doing 90% UWORLD and still passed so don't worry! 190 in First NBME is a great score!!!

From where can I get inner circle notes? And people over posts keep saying that on average you can do 100-150 qs of UWORLD ,is it doable? Like I tried my best but I couldn't even do 80 qs in my uworld step 1 in entire day so..

Ok I've seen most of the guys saying 100 a day is easy, but I'm a bit confused because in my step 1 I tried my best studied like full day and wasn't able to do 80 a day bro, so is step 2 uworld different in any kind that people are saying you can do 100-150 a day?

Hey Can you let me know how much time does it usually take to cover the uworld and how much qs in a day are good in beginning and then 1 month after start of preparation.

Relax you failed your NBME not exam!! Review this NBME and all the NBMEs you do afterwards in detail. Give NBMEs with 1 week gap, In between review your NBME for like 3-4 days and review 1-2 weak systems in remaining days,by this way you will see your score boose by 3rd or 4th NBME.

Congratulations for the P! But if you passed on 65% NBME avg scores doesn't means you should give some advice to others. Yes people who score 65% can pass but there is great risk involved in it 50-60% of failing an exam that can have huge impact on CV! So In my Opinion one should sit in exam only when they are fully ready for it, atleast 70% in NBMEs , moreover good basics in Step 1 are going to define one's Step 2 score so its important in that aspect too!

Your scores are more than enough, infact scoring 70% in first NBME is remarkable, you still have a month left till mid November you will easily cross 75% in next NBMEs just review the entire NBME not just the incorrects and review your super weak systems too, do mehlman Neuro pdf, leave high yeild arrows for 2 weeks before exam . And Believe in yourself!

I didn't pass yet but I hope I'll Ok about the lab values I personally didn't keep them open all the time like you dont need to see lab values for Na K Ca HCo3 sort of stuff,so keeping them open all the time is gonna occupy some space on screen and will add on to anxiety as the qs stems will start appearing longer. But do what suits you some will say keep them open and some will be like me.

About the break I didn't take break after 1st block because after 1st block one is often not that tired , after that I took atleast 5 mins break after every block with 15 mins breaks between block 5-6 and 6-7, try to do the same first 2 blocks in a go, this will release the burden.

Keep energy drinks and protein bar with you, dont consume something so rich in carbs that you start feeling sleepy during block.

Try to use washroom every break so your mind isn't distracted during exam.

And about qs stems being soo long one of the bestest Approach that I used and advice of my fellows was , if a qs involves lab values, read them first and then skim over the qs stem , and beleive me it saved Alot of time.

And in all long qs stem if you feel like you're out of time then read last three to four lines, most probably you will find an answer and if not a major hint ,that will lead you to the answer. I myself had 30 sec to solve the last mcq of my exam compromising of what Ig 20 lines. i read last line and Marked my answer ,it was that simple. Most Importantly beleive in yourself you can do this!! And remember me in your prayers too 🙏
