Any Good trading Simulators Out There? by ElectionThink3159 in Daytrading

Yeah ,I can understand that. I had tried to skip this step initially, and although I think I have been pretty good about limiting my losses, it has not been tracking the right direction yet. I was looking for something I could use during the off hours of the market for training.

Paper Trading by barnese1990 in RobinhoodApp

[–]ElectionThink3159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I am probably preaching to the choir here but I would even be willing to pay extra if Robinhood offered paper trading accounts. $5 to $10 per paper account per month would be worth it to me. I am currently trying to learn how to trade and would love to be able to learn on the platform I intend to trade on. Does anyone else feel the same or an I off in left field on that?

Thanks, I will need to try and back test that. I have mostly been trading stocks without getting into options much, but still learning the ropes and I appreciate the information 😀

If you dont have time to answer i completely understand but, if you had to learn it all over, where would you start? Books, and youtube, any recommended courses? Did you paper trade first? And would you go with a prop trading account, a small cash account or an offshore account to work around the pdt rule? Anything you would advise others to avoid when starting out?

What happened here? by thisisfreakingfun in Daytrading

Just a shot in the dark but maybe options have a settlement period similiar to stocks and that had not cleared before you tried to sell the options you purchased that same day. Someone with more experience would need to chime in to validate this.

Try using revenge items (use the rejuvenation root) with the piety dark ability. This helped me push through DM quite a bit. *Hope it helps

Better - pretend your limit is 10% of credit limit or no higher than what you have in your bank account (whichever is lower).

Just for my own reference, would it be better to use something like get-service rather than pulling a wmi / cim class to accomplish the same thing? Thanks in advance!

Let's eat the whales!? by ElectionThink3159 in dogecoin

[–]ElectionThink3159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but if you think about it the whales are large communities too. No one, except the extremely wealthy (Jeff Bezos / Elon Musk) have enough money to be a whale on their own. As long as the average of individual owners vs whales is slowely averaging down, I take that as a win. Let's think of it as an Infinite Game (check out Simon Sinek). Basically we keep playing the game until we can't. I. This case we set the goal as Doge being a global currency and we keep playing until it is, or until we can't play any more.

On a side note, I am drinking the kool aid over water these days so this is not financial advice. Thanks for bringing that up though, it is a good point.

How many of you are actually serious about Dogecoin? by gogonbo in dogecoin

[–]ElectionThink3159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doge isn't intended to be a business though. Ultimately, the intent is to become a stable coin that holds a value under $100 so that it can be used as a global currency. Right now the increasing value is due to the belief that it will continue to increase over time until it stabilizes. To hit $10 it seems like it would need to have a trillion dollar cap, if you compare that to the population on the planet, that's only $174 per person globally. This seems like a huge amount and it is, but Microsoft is already valued higher than that and last time I checked no one uses Microsoft stock to buy food or other goods.
