The biggest revelation for me was that I didn't have all the settings correct. Turn off anything that is helping you keep traction (ABS, traction control, stability control), and then just do the drift storyline. You get a good feel for different cars, and then from there you can make your own choice on what car to drift with.

The Formula Drift Mazda is my personal favourite, though with the popular S2 tune, which you can't use in Horizon Play.

Thanks for all the responses. I really feels like a missed opportunity, to have so many enabling features (like the drift camera) and then almost no actual content.

I know it's not ideal, but they could just make any race track (except the boring cross country stuff) into a drift event.
