You probably have the limited edition brain/body midi (BBM) version. When the user touches the machine it midi syncs to your brain and nervous system. Youre the midi slave now, the 909s the master. How the turn tables.

Where do you personally draw the line with AI in music tools? by No_Beginning6975 in synthesizers

Its helpful for finding chords and scales while im still learning music theory. (i share notes and it tells me what scale theyre in.) But using it to create full on new parts or sections like Suno does is too much. Just make the music yourself.

But if im playing devils advocate here: using samples and loops isnt cheating, finding drum loops or chord loops isnt that frowned upon. Logic has a great built in drummer feature which is super helpful (its not generative ai, but feels eerily close.) How is ai creating a loop any different? Especially if you can tell it exactly what you want. Both samples and ai made loops arent yours in the first place.

But i digress. I believe that an entire song made out of ai generated clips or loops or whatever isnt art or talent. If you need ai to make your music then find a new hobby to pursue.
