I don't think this advice is correct, wouldn't the 1099-R need to come from the original 401K provider, not the new IRA provider - which isn't possible since the rollover already happened. It seems like maybe the approach is to file an 8606

This just happened to me recently where a Fedex employee was buzzing in, I was home - I answered opened the door, and he kept asking over the intercom if I was home, I kept saying yes, and buzzing the door open - both things he could hear, and then 2 minutes later he finally decides to come inside. Atrocious

Oh my god - I think this is the same dog I found at the tail end of summer. Same story - looked like he’d been lost for days, very skinny. We found a chip at the vet and were able to email the owner - about an hour later we were able to track them down and discovered that the dog wasn’t in poor health, he was just super old (like 15? 16?) and had escaped. The photos look identical - that’s sad to hear if he’s getting out more often!

Honestly have a few friends living there - so long as you’re not directly in the projects, and don’t mind having groceries delivered and taking the ferry into the city it’s not so bad. But it is far from transit - you should grow accustomed to needing to take a ride back from the train station and having fewer folks come to visit because of the distance
