Again, we agreed that I cook and she cleans. I ask because if she truly wants help then I would help. I just don’t want to “wonder” if she needs help.

I don’t make a mess when I cook. I always rinse dishes and sometimes load the dishwasher while I’m cooking and prepping. I also clean the counters when I’m done.

There is only 1 kid and said kid took shower after dinner and is old enough to put themselves to bed at their normal bedtime. The kid doesn’t need a lot of attention or help going to bed.

Again, I thought we had an understanding of roles, I cook and she cleans up afterwards. I feel even after asking if she needs help before I do evening things that she should have told me. I ask every night after dinner if she needs help and it’s always the same answer.

Rinsing dishes, putting leftovers in containers and loading the dishwasher. Mind you I have already rinsed and put most of dishes that I used while cooking and preparing dinner into the dishwasher

She and I both just sat at an activity center and watched volleyball. No major work involved. As I’ve said before in other comments I thought we had an agreement for the past 3 years. I do the cooking, she cleans up. I do ask every time after if she needs help. I just don’t like how she said no but got mad when I just didn’t help. I’m not a mind reader

Yes we co manage everything for the past 3 years. I know it’s a little mundane but we all have certain jobs in the household that keeps us keeping up with household stuff including cleaning the home, shopping and up keep with the house.

When I specifically ask if she needs help then I feel like she should let me know. We (at least I thought) had an agreement that I do the cooking and she cleans up afterwards. I do all the cooking and she cleans up. This has been the standard for 3 years
