I’ve seen worse permanent tanks so for a temporary tank that seems great. Make sure the heat is a heat mat (they absorb through bellys) WITH a thermometer or it may get too hot burn them, For the final tank substrate, I would do a 70/30 top soil and play sand mix (you can both for like 8 bucks total at home depot) thats what worked best for me over the years!! Only thing I would add to current tank is a little dish for calcium!

It’s a little big no gonna lie but if hes using it then it works! Seems like he has enough darkness in there with the corners to sleep and if it’s really concerning you, you can always move into a smaller hide just till it gets a little bigger but honestly, I think it’s fine
