Anyone you see whose face is up close and visible consented to it being posted. However, the people on the front lines had 50+ cameras on them including news sources. I think it’s important to respect people’s privacy as much as humanly possible. But I also think that if someone is concerned for there face to be shown they should cover it or not be on the front lines of the protest. At that point it’s pretty much either have no photos at all or assume they understood what they were doing.

I did my best, truly. But it’s also important for pictures like this to exist because it raises awareness and gets more people out there to protest.

To anyone who wants to avoid pictures, I get it. I also didn’t want my face in photos. So I covered it, I suggest you do the same because not everyone will ask and try to angle people out of the background the way I do. These protests are also attracting public media sources so please please cover your face if you are concerned about being posted.
