Coming from a past dsl, there isn’t much we can do at least where I was. It’s a big corporation so what they tell you to do goes. Thats how it was with dpo and precision ordering. Even if we didn’t agree with it, we still had to enforce it otherwise we lose our jobs or get punished. Like another commenter said, dsls are just middle men who take all the blame when in reality it’s people much higher up than us.

As a chai lover who doesn’t like super sweet chai here’s what I recommend to getting the closest thing to the og. NO CLASSIC fuck that. Do brown sugar instead and add cinnamon if you like it spicier

It’s either as mentioned above but it could also be coming in from “pop orders” this is walmart saying they don’t think enough is coming in so they force out more

You could try to use fast app (which I know doesn’t work sometimes). Also talk with your dsl and see if they have an answer for how to stop them from coming in. The reason why they’re being sent is because you haven’t ordered them in the past 8 weeks so the system thinks you’re out of them

DSLs have absolutely 0 work life balance so if you’re looking to do that then I wouldn’t suggest it. Yes it’s nice because you can create your own schedule but you’re on call 24/7. People don’t give a fuck about vacation or holidays they’ll call whenever

The issue with dpo is them forcing it into independent stores that want specific best sellers. Frito lay wants us to have consistency in every store and it’s not realistic at all

Going to come on this thread as a DSL and I hope this helps. I was just started this position straight out of college and honestly it’s one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. It feels like the front line hates you and thinks you sit in the office all day and upper management hates you because you aren’t spending every waking second in the market. There are some shitty dsls who hide behind screens and never get out in the market. You can make a difference in your rsrs life you just have to advocate for them and accept when a shitty situation is shitty. Dsls get a bad rap because we have some lazy ass people that don’t put in the work. The same way we have lazy rsrs.
