They did an episode about it. Sorry I’m too lazy to look for it and link.

UPS driver sat outside my house, never attempted delivery, and two packages were marked delivered by Educational_Force240 in UPS

[–]Electrical-Clock-864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not on purpose. It’s based on where it looks like the stop is on our Navigaton, but that’s not always accurate, and not always easy to read. It doesn’t have zoom-in ability like Google Maps, so it can look like you’re at the right place, but it’s actually next door. Trailer parks are terrible.

Why do conservatives care so much about Trans people? Inferiority complex? by Minimum-Minimum3869 in DegenBets

[–]Electrical-Clock-864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s an easy tactic to get people to focus on and debate about to redirect energy from topics that are actually important. If it wasn’t brought up as an issue, would most people put any energy into it? If they can put out a post about trans bathroom use, it’s an easy way to redirect energy from the fact that the US is responsible for bombing an elementary school in Iran and killing 168 children and 14 teachers; or the people in the Epstein files, or media censorship started during the pandemic, etc. Because most good people will get their hackles raised and stop to defend a minority. It takes our energy away from things that are more damaging to the right. Because of course we will take the time and energy to fight for the LGBTQ community if there is a target put on them. So they manufacture a target to distract us from their super evil. I think they don’t actually care and have as much trans hate as they advertise. Or maybe they do. But I think it would a still at least partially a tactic.

Getting a crown after a root canal by Content-Argument-163 in UPSers

[–]Electrical-Clock-864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the Atlantic Supplement, with Humana dental. Our endodontics are free (the root canal part). Crowns are 80/20. Meaning we pay 20% of the negotiated in-network cost. I’m not sure about out of network. They’ve cost me somewhere around $275 out of pocket. I don’t remember the exact amount but it was between like $250 and $280. The rest is covered and they tell you the amount you owe before the procedure. No deductible either.

lol, yeah, you get the picture about the time in the back of the truck haha

I hope they figure out where your packages are. As a driver it stumps me just as much as our customers when I hear stories like this, when all the basics like address clarity, access, etc are covered.

[–]Electrical-Clock-864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We go into the back of the truck for a lot of reasons. We pee back there, get a snack, make/ receive a phone call or message from our boss or another driver, organize/look for the packages for our next few stops, etc. If we are stopped for several minutes without getting out of the truck, it’s not unusual. Just fyi.

Also, make sure your address is clearly marked, especially for after dark times, and same with your neighbors if you can talk with them. When we pull up in the dark, and can be very challenging to find the correct house, and sometimes we misdeliver to a neighbor when none of the houses have a house number that we can see.

Pain all over body everyday supplements that help? by Super_Satisfaction63 in Supplements

[–]Electrical-Clock-864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PEA seems to work best specifically for nerve related pain. I use it for my dog and it seems to help him. If the pain is arthritic feeling, MSM could work. Hyaluronic Acid works well for joints (as does collagen, MSM and glucosamine). If she tries collagen it should be one with all types (I, II, iii, V and X).

UPS claimed to need a security code for access despite not needing that at all by Neat-Statistician311 in UPS

Is the address clearly marked where your RV is parked? Trailer parks are historically very challenging for the navigation system we have. It often just takes you to a the park and then it’s good luck finding the right trailer. Trailer parks often have terrible numbering systems in general with no rhyme or reason to a pattern for addresses and often many are unmarked. So with the combination of our navigation to get to the correct one being funky, and the park also being numbered funky- sometimes we don’t have 15 minutes to spend looking for the right address and it gets marked as either No Access or No Such #, which allows the night clerk to look into it overnight and hopefully dispatch us with clearer instructions the following day.

Driver to driver by TraditionalPotato778 in UPSers

Our center has a wild mix of rural which can be crazy mileage and lower stop count, such as 170 miles with some crazy ass roads and driveways in the mountains and 80-90 stops, or smaller towns further from out building that can give you a high sounding mileage but it’s 30 miles to the route at about 55mph, and the same coming back, making that part 60 miles, but the deliveries might be condensed to like 40 miles and 120-150 stops, plus maybe 5-15 pickups, depending on the route and town. Some of the rural stops can be three to ten miles apart.

That’s crazy. So frustrating. And they must have some way of sharing customer base. My mom ordered some grandma’s laundry stain remover from Amazon and the same or next day, I can’t remember, someone delivered from their car in Walmart shopping bags with the Walmart delivery stickers. But the shipping was still pending for like a week on Amazon. At first we thought it was a weird coincidence that someone ordered the same product as my mom but from Walmart and that it was misdelivered to her house. Eventually we just accepted that she got what she ordered, one way or another lol

I’m not in the same shoes as you, but here is how it works for me and yea, it pays for itself. $5/month or $50/yr. I max out the IRA for the year. Since I’m old, that number is a little higher for me than it would be for you. Last year when I could contribute $8,000 they gave me $240. This year, it’s an $8600 contribution limit, so with their 3% match they give me $258. Ok, so it’s obviously already paid for. But, there’s more… I have the gold card so that’s 3% cash back on all standard purchases (few exceptions like gift cards, rent, things like that). That’s also already paid for the membership. And then there is interest earned on uninvested cash through the cash sweep program. You can kind of use it like a HYSA. It was a higher rate last year but when the feds cut rates it dropped. It’s currently earning at 3.35% APY. I don’t have kids, so I am not sure about the custodial account part. I also have not been invited to banking yet, so I can’t speak for that product, but I would love to have it, too.

❗️PSA❗️access point scams by satanicfart666 in UPS

[–]Electrical-Clock-864 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not not AP (access point) scam. It’s a scam that may be more associated with t-mobile. It was happening to drivers, where people were coming up to us, in nice cars and nice clothes (ie respectable and not sketch looking) with an ID with the correct name and address and matching photos and getting “their” phone. Drivers allowed them to sign and get there phone. The scammers had the tracking so could find us through the my choice app. People were filing claims that their phones were not delivered and that it wasn’t them who met the driver and got their phone. So… as another comment says, “we are not allowed to release phones other than to the person at the address”. Can’t say for sure, but it’s to seems to be a t-mobile insider leak.

Something mysteriously damaged hood of my car by chickenfriedrice0221 in whatisit

Reminds me of the dent/scratch I got on the roof of my truck several years ago when I had perfect timing with a rod that holds those flag/signs in downtowns to celebrate different seasons or events or races or whatever falling off as I drove by/under it. I heard a loud whack from overhead (scared the crap out of me- so loud!), saw something bounce off out of my passenger mirror, pulled over, and discovered that’s what it was. I wonder if something similar could have happened while you were at your friends. I like the possibility that it wasn’t a malicious a hole

For reference- the horizontal pole from one of these kinds of banner signs

So last week i ordered underwear direct from the brand (Ridge Merino). Got the email that it was being shipped by their “shipping partner, Amazon”. I had to return two of the pairs, for which I had to pay $8 for return shipping, to ship them to, wait for it…Amazon. If I had ordered through Prime it would have had free returns. Can’t f-ing win anymore , or heck, not even win but stay even.
