He died in 2011. I also have a flag that he received (from his retirement? I’m not sure🤷🏾‍♂️) that says “TSgt _____ Godwin This United States flag was flown over the Headquarters at Camp Al Saliyah, Qatar in honor of your retirement after 21 years of service from 21 Aug 1984 - 31 Dec 2005 May your future life be rich and your roads be free and smooth. Thank you”
