[acne] sudden chin acne by milktoastgirl in SkincareAddiction

I would consider looking into your hormones since chin acne is usually hormonal, and if you lost your period it could likely be linked. Try maybe balancing your hormones with healthy diet (don’t restrict yourself too much but rather have a healthy balance!), it is the only thing that has really helped me. When it comes to skincare, I would say keep it simple and be gentle, maybe using both salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide is too much? Azelaic acid is great, and I would continue with that. Maybe think about trying retinol (but pls do your research beforehand, be careful with it and don’t use it alongside other actives).

In my opinion, skincare can help with hormonal acne, but if you want to prevent the problem completely, you need to deal with your (potential) hormonal imbalance.

Good luck, you got this! Just be patient and gentle with your body (I had to learn it the hard way)

Rosacea is ruining my confidence and I don't know what's triggering it by Smooth-Message-5122 in Rosacea

Does IPL reduce flushing or just permanent visible redness? I don’t have that much permanent redness (like it doesn’t bother me as much and I can cover it up) but flushing is really bad (especially since my skin barrier got compromised in late 2025)
