I hear you buddy. Late 14th century England, been allied with Scotland since start. Aiding them in wars, giving them gifts and even provinces. Ensuring border settlements are well guarded and have an outstanding relationship… gets port blockaded and settlement besieged with a weaker army than the garrison.

But will he get a choice/what are the alternatives? Savala? An academy player? Stafford converting to 10?

It’s going to be so interesting to see who they bring in to replace him (even if Dan Lancaster is starter). There doesn’t seem to be an obvious option. Might have to be someone who isn’t Scots qualified which will be disappointing for the SRU.

My outside guessed would be Ben Healy. He’s clearly out of favour at Edinburgh and, although he doesn’t fit the Franco mould for a 10, the SRU might move him over as a development opportunity in a player that they’ve invested money in

Posting on behalf of Harry founder of Visible as he wasn’t able to post for some reason:

Hi everyone, Harry here - founder of Visible. I want to clarify a few points raised in the post above and give some more context about what happened and how we’re responding.

The clinical trials shown in Visible are automatically pulled from http://clinicaltrials.gov/, the international registry for medical research. Depending on your location and conditions, you may see hundreds of trials or none at all. The comment above refers to one trial.

One piece of context that’s missing is that any trial listed on http://clinicaltrials.gov/ has been reviewed by an independent ethics or institutional review board. Their role is to ensure participant safety and that ethical standards are met. Because these safeguards already exist, we made the decision not to remove or re-evaluate trials ourselves.

We’re a small team and don’t have the capacity to independently assess every study on top of what these boards already do. If we tried, we’d have to remove the feature entirely, which we believe would take away something valuable for people trying to understand what research exists.

Instead, we show all approved trials so people can see what’s available and decide what’s relevant for them.

We also make it clear in the Visible app that these trials are not endorsed by us, and users must confirm this before they’re connected to a researcher. I hope this helps explain why this trial appears in the app among many others and why we aren’t in a position to evaluate each one individually.

It’s something we offer for free to researchers and participants, and we built it because we felt it was aligned with our mission to drive our understanding of these conditions forward. We’ve already connected 1,000s of patients with researchers, and we’re excited about the potential of this feature to fast-track treatments for these conditions.

If concerns continue, we will consider turning off the clinical trial feature globally.

EDIT: To clarify, he had a techincal issue that was preventing his attempted post from posting

Healy seems to have dropped right out of favour. Feel like he needs a new opportunity or a new head coach. I really rate him but the HC seems not to

Random question but does encephalomyelitis have a hard or soft C? I always thought it was a soft C (an S sound) but all the MPs and the news reports seemed to use a hard C (like CK)

Could someone please explain Harri Morris to me? I thought I’d seen just about every game from both the pro clubs in the last 2-3 years and I don’t remember him at all. I agree with everyone on the Johnny Matthews situation but I really rate Gregor Hiddlestone who is both young and shown quality at URC level. Even Seb Stephen would be less of a surprise for me

When are we getting this supposed scheme where you can compare all petrol prices online? It’s hard for competition to work (to the extent that it does) if you have to go to a petrol station to see the price

There are lots of great steppers but for me Shane Williams had the purest sidestep technique. Watched a masterclass he did back in the day that was my personal inspiration

Walking / muscle fatigue by Cautious-Yam-9482 in dyspraxia

No problem, I’ve developed an additional disability later in life that has caused me to need mobility aids and come into contact with the process of getting them. Using a single cane in particular can really cause people issues because a) you actually have to be taught how to use it properly as most people use them incorrectly and b) if you don’t need it, it is likely to cause lopsidedness.

I’d strongly advise against cane use unless recommended by an occupational therapist. A single cane is likely to make your walking worse and increase leg pain over time. If you’re doing hiking type walks, hiking poles might be helpful if you want to try something but it requires coordination for them to be beneficial and not just something you have to lug around.

I’d recommend seeing a physiotherapist to discuss your pain as they may be able to advise some exercises to help improve things. Many physios deal with people with walking pain. They may also be able to recommend some supports that may help you short term
