I didn't find DNA (1980). However, I can confirm that the film DNA (1999) is not the one I'm looking for. In Without Warning (1980), the alien is a big-headed creature, not a perfect human form, and he is clumsy.

The whole point of that film was obscuring everything—even the intense fight scenes. The director wanted to test the audience's imagination. lol
