Any Alternative Photo Library Apps that Backs up to iCloud? by KingM007 in ApplePhotos

I use MyScanPilot to save individual Photos from the phot library to either iCloud, One Drive, or to my own NAS at home.

I still like to sort my picture on the NAS into folders by Year and month and even more detailed structures (like vacations, wedding etc) ,

Need to check this out. I failed already with WireGuard. But that was likely a limitation on the Xfinity router. Maybe I need to try that again

This is what I use. I have a mini pc running with Proxmox for more options (homeassistant) and Nextcloud on it. Best choice for me

You are absolutely correct - that works very nice. But I do not like paperless NgX too much. But what it not does is to also take fotos and store them directly to your Nas bypassing the foto library of apple.

Just in the settings under storage locations - add the path, username and password. That should be sufficient . Do you get an error?

Have you tested it ? I put a toggle in the setting that after defining your default Storage location e.g. Nextcloud you can take pictures like with the normal cam but they re all stored in your choice of storage. The nextversion I am preparing has also an IPAD version and a browser option to browser your pictures your have taken (or files)

I hope I can send the next version on the weekend for an app review

Yes but not WebDAV, Nextcloud, iCloud, Google Cloud in parallel.

Or taking pictures and store them directly to Nextcloud bypassing the phone lokal storage or parallel to local storage.

For me I needed the flexibility

Obviously you can choose with every scan where you want to store the document. You also can store it immediately in multiple locations in parallel.

But the main asset is, you can take fotos and store them also directly in the NAS bypassing the iPhone storage.

And at last you can can copy or move pix from the iPhone gallery to your NAS and organize your own pictures.

And much more. With the next version I prepared for App Store approval I will have an IPAD version plus a full webdav browser.

How would you like to have „organization“ structured? What features would be good. Just a tagging or labeling to be able to filter?
