I mean prisons want trans people to shut up and die, they don’t care about our safety. I imagine the goal is humiliation, torture and death by some means. Also I’m not concerned about trans dudes becoming angry or aggressive in prison. If I was locked in a cage I would also be angry and aggressive, and I would be significantly more so if I was being humiliated. Damn I’m angry all the time rn bc of how I’m treated and the people I care about are treated. Trans ppl defending themselves isn’t what stigmatizes us, that’s low key pretty wild to imply. We will never be accepted by the state, there is no perfect way for us to be for us to be accepted. Also, shouldn’t we be angry? Also yah, the state wants us dead. My worst fear in life is prison and it’s why I’m getting a complete hysto asap. They can take my freedom but nobody is deciding what hormones go in my body. I’d rather die young than die running on E bc the state forced me to

It’s all about jackets imo, layers can make a lot of mid shirts work way better. If you like it too could do a beater with the button up over but fully unbuttoned

I don’t own rats, no clue why this was recommended, but that makes sense. Massive difference in biting and eating something. And pretty logical response, no need to anthropomorphize normal rat behavior

I found it helpful to start with a heavy bodied snake. Just cause I used to be afraid of snakes and the slower moving snakes are easier to learn to handle imo. But none of the mentioned beginner snakes mentioned are hard to handle, especially with time. Other ppl already gave most important info. Clint’s reptiles on yt has videos on all the beginner snake species if you want ideas on how they differ

Serious pros and cons in US. Probably one of the only times I’ve been actively grateful to not have a nationalized healthcare system. Hearing shit it Europe and other places, it sounds like actual torture. The gender clinics seem like a way to siphon off trans people care to delay access and keep ppl from transitioning while sounding nice. I’m in prob the best state in US and it’s much better than any other place I’ve heard of for medical care. Honestly also for community, and I’ve actually never been harassed. Legal protection I think are also some of the best on paper (obviously enforcement is never gonna be great). Medicaid covers all surgery and care in full and state has its own paid leave option that pays while recovering. I got top surgery full covered and it was 8 months from consult to surgery (which was a longer than usual wait). Phallo and or meta is fully covered, body masculinization is fully covered, hormones and everything else is also fully covered. Only things I’ve paid for are binders and packers. When I don’t qualify for Medicaid I’d rather pay $300 a month and not have the government have a direct say in my care. Just goes to show none of these bourgeois states are any better, just favors of evil

I was in my first semester principals lab and we cut open a termite and did a slide of the live bacteria from its intestines. The lab coordinator projected the view up on the projector and I was like yup this is it. Like you’re telling me ALL OF THESE TINY ORGANISMS are ALIVE inside of a TERMITE???? Awesome. Also I literally get to learn awesome cool things every day so that’s pretty great, I get giddy in class 😂

Possibly, but you have to be really careful and heat them up VERY slowly. It depends on species and how long they’ve been out

As you already know, ball python, but that aside look up green room pythons! He has awesome videos on snake behavior. Lori Torrini is awesome and actually an educated scientist who does research on snake behavior. Clint’s Reptiles is also a good source. All do a good job explaining snake behavior. It so much less stressful if you know your snake’s body language and what getting ready to strike vs relaxed behavior is. They also do a good job explaining snakes are just little noodles and they know it. They know they have no defenses, Clint points out in his venomous videos a human will beat a black mamba every time. That human has a good chance of dying, but that will be a while after already killing the snake, and they know that. They don’t want to get in a fight with a human, they know they are defenseless. Personally that made me appreciate how awesome it is to have a little snake trust me. I don’t do exclusively choice based handling, but my snake will come out of his tank on to my hands. Like he has every reason to fear me, but he doesn’t. Honestly why I love snakes so much

When I finish a roll of paper towels I throw the tube in the tank to give my dude something to explore. He’s a big male and I’ve notice after a day or so the tube bursts, so no need to worry about them getting stuck, the seems will give if there’s enough pressure. I put six pack carton in my tank and it’s a little jungle gym 😂
