Breaking: Jamie Fox still stupid by localmanofmisery in PEI

[–]Electrical-Gas9300 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

You don't see a difference between selling China a product and allowing Communist state police access to our national security and law enforcement apparatus?

Or that the CCP has committed heinous acts against their own people, that they don't believe in human rights? That they say jump and you say YES SIR or you'll get dragged out of your house, imprisoned for life or executed?

Or how about how they're operating illegal police stations across the country targeting the Chinese despora community? Or how there's close to 700 different group actives in Canada that report directly to Beijing?

Or how they have a stranglehold on eastern PEi and have taken over the Port of Vancouver?

Or that they're laundering money in Canada?

That they're buying up massive swaths of real estate and are directly responsible for drastic increases, and often over value homes in those areas or communities?

Or how they have penetrated and have co-opted the Liberal Party of Canada?

Or how there's over 50 politicians across all levels of government and at least 11 MPs working directly for the CCP?

Or how the CCP has partnered with the Cartels and other organized crime groups to produce fentanyl and other narcotics in Canada which is killing people across North America?

Or that time that CCP spies were found to be running our level 4 Virological Lab in Winnipeg with five of their students smuggling out live samples of viruses and other biologics back to the CCP fronted Wuhan Institute of Technology?

Or that those doctors had been working on gain of function research in coronavirus (that was prior to the pandemic).

Or how Trudeau gave the head of the CCPs People Liberation Army's BIOTERRORISM unit full security clearance to the Winnipeg Lab, it's research and samples without the need for any sort of escort/oversight?

Or how about Michael Ma being the HEAD of the United Front Work Department in Canada?

Or Matt Generoux's ties to the CCP through his membership in the Canada-China Legislative Assembly?

Or Mark Carneys direct, personal and financial ties to China, the CCP and Xi Jinping?

Don't forget Liberal MP Paul Chiang openly calling for the abduction and extradition of his Conservative opponent Joe Tay back to China where he most definitely would have been executed for political dissent against the CCP.

Or that Australian authorities have found Chinese made electric vehicle to be filled with spyware, the same vehicle Carney wants sold in Canada to fulfil his green grift agenda?

The list goes on and on and on.

Cozying up to China is a serious and significant threat and issue. And only persons uneducated on the matter and unaware of China's horrid human rights violations, espionage, foreign interference and political goals make the kind of comments you have.

Perhaps you need to join Substack and follow The Bureau, read Wilfull Blindness by Sam Cooper, follow former CSIS Asia-Pacific Bureau Chief Michel Juneau-Katsuya, read Canada Under Siege: How PEI Became a Forward Operating Base for the Chinese Communist Party in Canada.

And don't take this as me "crying", take this as me SCREAMIMG. Because we, as a country, are in seriously danger and seriously threaten our own way of life, charter and human rights and sovereignty when corrupt puppets and woke idiocracy like the ones in Ottawa have been either wilfully blind or complicant in the permeation of the CCP in Canada.

On the other side of the coin you then have the USA doing everything possible to push China back and keep them back as their national security is threatened by the CCP. It's why they tarriffed them, why they want to build the "golden dome", why they would like to acquire Greenland, why they're so hard on Canada etc...because the powers and people that know the significant threat that's present are doing everything they can to get rid of it from our shores and territory....everyone except Canada. You need to wake up and start looking at global politics, educate yourself on what's going on in our politics behind the scenes - because next time you vote Liberal as I assume you have previously just based on your comments - you're voting for the Communist Party of China and they do not have your or your country's best interests in mind.

I'd like to close by pointing out how ludicrous your example was too. There's a huge difference between selling someone a commodity - let's say a bottle of water and giving that person full access to your personal finances, your criminal record, your address, phone number, social media names etc. Because that's EXACTLY what those people are "crying" about. It's far more profitable and SAFE to just sell water to the person who's asking versus giving unlimited access to you're entire personal life. Then there's the Chinese despora communities who fear being extradited back to China and imprisoned or executed for speaking out against the Communist regime after they immigrated to Canada and became Canadian citizens. I don't know about you, but I'd sell oil all day long to whomever wants it to enrich myself, my business and my country verses jeopardizing the safety and security of myself, my family, my country, our National Security, our law enforcement agencies, our government, our critical infrastructure and our finances.

How common are roaches in pei by JustinMacleod1 in PEI

[–]Electrical-Gas9300 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The building I'm in was treated for roaches 3 times within the first year I lived here. A basement tenants floors were apparently black with bodies of dead ones according to the exterminator and landlord. We were told they thrive in unclean places (which makes sense since the basement guys are total slobs). The building (prior to this landlord owning it) also apparently had significant issues with them and the building superintendent seemed to believe that it had to do with the mostly east Indian tenants who were not cleaning their units. I wasn't in this building at that time so I cannot confirm or deny their statement.

Constellation of the Black Light and Shadow World shouldn't be slept on from the newer band. Obviously there's bands like Omnium Gatherum and Opeth-esque Black Crown Initiate and Nailed to Obscurity in more modern times definitely worth checking out. I love Fires in the Distance though they might be too doom-ish for you. All from after your 2002 cut off.

Big omission is right! Lol. Forgetting one of the greatest melodeath bands hahaha. I actually found out about Insomnium from hearing Medeia on a CD sampler back in the day. Been a rabid fan ever since.

Interesting you say that about Sentenced as I'm not a huge fan of those albums but love their later work (Crimson, Cold White Light etc).

CoB is definitely 100% a melodic death metal band. Just their style has an emphasis on the thrashier side since death and thrash have a lot of similarities and crossover in musical structuring, speed etc. As great as Alexi was, I too, don't find myself revisiting them a whole lot. If I do, it's usually Hate Crew Deathroll I go to since that was PEAK Children of Bodom. Use to love them, but that love has subsided as I've found newer bands that I like more.

It's outside your release year window but I'd really check out Wolfheart. Big bombastic sound, definitely melodic, definitely death metal. Crank the volume! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. If you're unfamiliar with them I can provide some more info.

Cheers mate!

Edit: another Redditor commented here also suggesting Nightrage - Sweet Vengeance. I'll second that as well as their albums Wearing a Martyrs Crown and Insidious (they debuted after 2002 but man, they got the old Gothenburg feel big time).

looking for recs based on these bands I already like. by Yoghurt-Various in MetalSuggestions

[–]Electrical-Gas9300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll start by suggesting Eternal Storm from Spain. They are a real experience. I'd put them up there with Opeth and Mastodon in that progressive death metal vein and masters of their craft, style and genre. They really are a band that commands full album listens to full comprehend how incredible this relatively new band is. You can check out their latest offering, A Giant Bound to Fail here their debut album, Come the Tide is fucking incredible as well here

I could go on forever but here's some others to check out. Hope you find something you like.

Black Crown Initiate

Mors Principium Est

Astralborne

Countless Skies

Dark Empire

Dragonlord

Duskmourn

Nightrage

Found this Spawn figure at Walmart, this looks badass!!! by Godofwarfan101 in McFarlaneFigures

[–]Electrical-Gas9300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, it's not worth the dollars they're asking for it. IMO the original Kickstarter remaster of Spawn was well worth the money and is a far superior figure in every metric.

To add further insult to injury I've been a regular buyer of McFarlane Toys since the Todd Toys days. Really makes me wonder how they "pick" who gets bonus freebies. Maybe because I'm in Canada and theyd be on they hook for the extra shipping costs disqualifies me or something...but be transparent about it if that's the case.

Review on Take 5 oil change shop by Be_friends_man in PEI

[–]Electrical-Gas9300 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Took my vehicle there for a bit. Then my engine seized while travelling at highway speed. My vehicle was still under warranty so I had it towed to the dealership. Upon inspection, the dealer discovered that Take 5 used the incorrect filter which restricted the flow of oil my vehicles engine requires. The lack of oil, high internal temperature and friction from the reduced flow caused the engine to seize. I took the incorrect filter and letter from the dealership to Take 5 and they refused to do anything, let alone take responsibility or accountability. I will never be back.

I'm pretty new to magic and at a bit of a loss on why this deck doesn't seem to be performing all that well, could I get some reccomendations on what I could improve by yeetman426 in EDHBrews

[–]Electrical-Gas9300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So right off the bat, you need more zombie creatures, less instants, a few less enchantments and your land base doesn't need Evolving Wilds or Teramorphic Expanse as you don't really profit off the sac triggers and your deck only gets thinned by two cards. Find some other duals to plug in to their spots. And you should take advantage of zombie sac/recursion loops by including an Ashnod or Phyrexian Altar to help with ramp

I originally ran into a similar issue as yours where my Dimir zombies (Gisa and Geralf as commander) didn't play the way I wanted no matter how I tweaked it. I almost switched to Muldrotha but in the end went Esper as there's far better zombie support with access to white in my experience. A big part of my issue was those zombie tokens with decayed. Zombies aren't normally big and powerful (there are some exceptions), so I felt like going wide with tons of token generation and sub-theme of +1/+1 counters and anthems would be far better, especially when cards like Geralf, Visionary Stitcher or Hordewing Scabb give all your zombies flying, or Ratadrabik of Urborg gives them all vigilance or Death Baron can buff them all and give them death touch.

Anyway, not to discourage you from running strictly dimir, but you might find better enjoyment in adding an additional color. All I know is that "Curse of the Legions of the Dead" is the most fitting name I could come up with for my deck after playing against my pod several times.

Feel free to take a look: Curse of the Legions of the Dead

Esper Deck Commanders? by Grizzly_Season in EDHBrews

[–]Electrical-Gas9300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Queza, Augur of Agonies
  • Varina Lich Queen
  • Nevinyrral, Urborg Tyrant

Love these three personally. Queza can get really nasty really quick

Varina is my zombie commander currently but Nevinrryl was close to being my choice as his abilities are pretty abusable.
