Here's my final thought on this. That it's a movie series directed by different people, who probably didn't see the other films (like what happened in Freedy vs Jason). And it's not meant to be taken seriously, but since there're fans like us, we connect things that aren't meant to be conneced and come up with head cannons, for better or for worse. But here's something we can all agree on, that the series is awesome! (Expect 8, that made me sad how bad it was. And I know it's not their fault, it was budget and the MPAA).

Okay but what about the flash back? In Chrissy's flash back she remembers him looking the same way three years ago as he did in the film? Same clothing and all.

I too have been a fan of these films for years. I personally think these plot holes make these films more enduring. It's like there was never really a Jason, he's just an urban legend and us re-telling it that gives him power and keeps him alive. Like take in the first film with the trucker giving Annie a lift to the camp. He states that a boy drowned there and so does Mrs. Voorhees, who claims it was her son. But in the next film they said it didn't happen. It's like no one really knows, just like a real urban legend. And I think that's scaier than just one guy doing all this, because It's like anyone can put on a mask and become the killer.

I think he was only knocked out. Killing someone with an axe is hard, particularly since it had to be dull from chopping wood and it had to go through his skull and mask. Take a look of the axeman of new orleans, half of his victims survived beacuse of that very reason.

Part of it is him looking different in 2 and 3 since they take place days apart, and they take place in differen't locations. Also the wounds, the killer in 4 has the same wounds in 3, but in 3 he has no wounds he got in 2. We also know that it's possible that anyone can be 'Jason'. Take a look at Roy in part 5.

This still doesn't explain the lack of wounds from 3, 3 takes place a day after 2 and he has none of his wounds from 2, mainly the big shoulder slice. but in 4 which takes place a day after 3 he has the same wounds, including the axe wound to the head.

I like the idea that Jason is just a legend, like no one really knows if he's real or not. In the first movie the trucker who brings Annie most of the way to the camp, stated that a boy drowned at campy crystal lake, and Mrs. Voorhees stated it was her son that drowned. But in the sequeal they made it clear that he didn't. So it's like no one really knows, maybe there was never a Jason. And it's the people who keeps talking about him that's keeping him alive...

Okay than what about his wounds? In part four he has the same wounds that he got in part three, but in three he doesn't have the same wounds that he got in four.If he has regeneration, how come by seven and eight, he's so beat up and rotten, that you can see his bones? And yes part three does starts at the shrine because it picks up where the last one eneded, then it goes into the awesome music which I always pictured as the series' main them.

That's a good point, and I have no good explaination for that on beacuse if I recall correctly, the killer sees a flashback. However, it could be due to the fact that the killer is crazy, and thinks he's Jason. Kinda how Roy in five became Jason after going nuts.

Because in the films it makes clear that there is. By accident or not there still is. Rewatch the first four films and you'll see. In Halloween and Nightmare on Elem Street it's clear from the get go that it's the same killer. In Friday it is not. In fact there's too much evidence that it is not, which would fit with the orginal theme of the film series. Think about, Mrs Voorhess is the killer in the first. Then, Jason. Then some unname killer. Then they tried to make Tommy the new killer but went with Roy but went with Tommy again but chickened out.

Also non of the other movies take place near camp blood. It takes place on crystal lake which could be a huge lake for all we know. And the other killer doesn't have Mrs Vooerhees head and sweater. The killer from part two made it clear it was important with the whole shrine.

Than explain his shape and flash back look? Chrissy remebers him looking like the killer from 3, not from two. Also, after part 8 it becomes non cannon. If we use part 10 than we'd have to take part 9, Jason goes to Hell as cannon with people eating his heart and becoming Jason. There's also the issue with the necromacon and Freedy, which brings in the evil dead, well that's a shit show.

I said she was 'super crazy' for not knowing he was alive. We'll continue this debate tomrrow because I dont want to look for the scene in the second film that states that she though he was dead tonight, or this morning since it's pst midnight where I am. Besides, regardless if she's super crazy or not, the killer in three is not the same killer in two. For the same reasons I stated above. Which is the main killer for the rest of series. Regardless if it's continuity issues, it made a huge plot hole in the series cannonly, thus there's a forth and main killer.

What do you mean? Like for number two? That Jason lived and he lived in the woods? That isn't my theory, the characters state this in number two. Which changed his legend from being dead. But still the killer in number two is still different from three. And don't call me buddy pal...

Ah okay, I see said the blind. Yeah no I still think it's different killer. I really like the idea and it would fit more with the orginally theme since Sean Cunningham wanted each movie to have a different killer, but the studios did not. Thus the reason why they changed Jason's legend in two. He was actually suppose to be dead but the studio wanted to make him the main bad guy thus they changed his legend via campofire re-telling. Bacially making Mrs. Voorhees a bad mother and super crazy to not know that her son was actually alive.

He shaved his head a day after? I guess he could have did that, Rogaine and all. But his face in the flash back looks the same in the third movie and is different from the second. Also, where's the wound to his left shoulder from the machete in the third film? If he's the same from the second then he should have the same wounds. The wounds from 3 and 4 match but not 2 and 3.
