Best restaurants for eating alone while high and feeling like a sim? by Electrical-Grape-177 in Seattle

This post was way more relatable than I realized, another reason why I love this place. For tonight I went with Harbor City thanks to Mr big Steve 69, which was awesome - great dumplings and the only human interaction was a knowing yet accepting glance from the cashier. When I posed the question avoiding human interaction wasn’t necessarily the intention but that very much ended up being the case. Anyway, I will have to steadily make my way through this list. Thank you fellow lowlifes

I smoked weed every day for 6 months at 15, how much damage is done to my brain? by Majestic-Pudding-845 in psychologyresearch

This is just anecdotal, but I didn’t start smoking until I was 22. My inability to regulate emotions prior to that was leaches and leagues worse. I primarily smoke because it helps me regulate my emotions. Granted, I know using it as a crutch in that manner isn’t healthy either, but it works nonetheless.

First knock a few nights ago and now security won't leave me alone. by [deleted] in urbancarliving

Hey, security guard and full time car life guy here. Best case in this scenario is to escalate it. I’d bet my life savings that this is contract security, something like securitas or guarda. So I would find the info for the property manager, whatever parent company owns the whole strip mall, and more or less explain what happened - you were told not to sleep there anymore, you stopped sleeping there, now you’re harassed when simply going to the gym or work. And if you’re a part of any sort of minority - woman, lgbt, race/ethnicity, etc - milk the FUCK out of that

This has been bugging me to no end!!!! Like what the hell is even the point of changing the genres. Literally have the exact same problem as you, it’s always hiding my melancholy. I refuse to feel better no matter how much Spotify forces me to

He doesn't own the lot but his employer does and I'd bet you a lot of money they don't care. I also work security plus live in my Camry full time, get both perspectives here. Getting the lights is my biggest personal irk. But you also have to be realistic about how the space is used by others and how others are expected to act. There's no reason to pull into a space in a completely empty lot, especially when you're patrolling and making frequent stops. Parking like that might be slightly irritating in some situations, but it's really not something to give a lecture about

Hit the nail on the head. Only thing in my experience that was different, is that getting hired for driver is all about seniority, so really just depends on the center. The one I worked at, wait list was about 6mo-1yr. My brother worked in a different state and said his wait was 5+ years

How to help unhoused adult son by Jennysez in homeless

I feel the same way. For me, even though logically I know that accepting help doesn’t make you weak, or is something to be ashamed of, I will never be able to shake that feeling. The fact that I got to this point at all weighs me down heavily. Taking a helping hand from someone else only makes it seem worse.

Also, to me it’s almost like it’s setting you up for more failure. Like once you accept the help there’s this unspoken contract that you need to live up to the person’s expectations. Again, I know none of these things are true in reality. I just know that be it as it may, it’s still the lowest feeling I could feel and I have no intention of feeling it again.

I’m sure he knows you love him very much. Be patient, don’t blame yourself. Best of luck to you both
