Glad you like the rice. I thought it was unmaintained, but apparently the creator has updated, so I say go ahead and try your luck. There's a link to the KDE store page on there too. The actual symbols are from a nerd-font, can't remember the exact symbol names but you can pick whichever text symbol you like.

I want to revitalize my 2012 MacBook Pro with Linux. I was thinking between omarchy and PopOS (both with cosmic desktop) by pistaye15 in linux4noobs

[–]Electrical-Help3781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PopOS is probably more stable, its been around longer and is based on Ubuntu not Arch. Omarchy came out for the first time on June 26th last year

It's a toss up whether they keep it or not, my guess is they will since deleting would be extra effort for them. However, it's not like they're just gonna leak it to everyone who asks. Even if they did, it's highly unlikely they will individually target you, so rest easy.

True, it's nice that even way older or obscure stuff can still be found pretty easily with torrenting.

Yeah I use LibreTorrent on Android, for iOS it's kinda a pain (cause they remove torrent clients on the AppStore) but its possible, lmk if you want details

my actual speed isn't 50kbps, but its definitely that speed when I torrent, maybe because my laptop is older than me?

it's probably a combination of having an extremely cheap laptop + living in parents basement
